Decent fan for the price. Instructions were very basic without a great deal of detail. Had to do some research on the web to clarify wiring questions. But, all in all, assembly was not difficult and the fan seems to be quiet and has several speed andlighting modes. Remote is useful. Tips: 1. If your outlet has red, black, and white wires, only the black and white are connected to fan; cap the red with a wire nut. 2. Green and yellow wire on bracket connects to ground. 3. You may need to replace two existing screws on motor with longer screws in order to secure the ceiling cover. 4. A flat screw driver set is very helpful in securing those two screws because the space between the cover and motor housing is tight. 5. Some bolt holes were too small for the bolts supplied. This fan is great. Looks great and nice quality. It is easy to install and has two extension rods. I used the longer one. It has plastic blades but the body is metal. It has a nice remote. I'm not positive if this should be 3 or 4 stars, I'm going 4 because it is really well made, but may come back and make it 3 if it doesn't stay up. I've changed every fixture in my house, and this fan was by far the most difficult. Assembling this fan took longer than the actual install. It has a nice extension and feels very well made. If you can plug it in on your patio I’d definitely recommend ordering this fan. It looks modern and elegant and comes with a remote.
