I wanted a "girly" ceiling fan and light for my MBR, and this is the one I chose. Yes, the metal color is a bit brassy-pinkish -- some would say borderline tacky/campy -- but I like it for "glamming up" my bedroom. The crystals are beautiful and the 40 or so large, weighy spheres took about 45 minutes for me to attach after the elecrician removed the older fan and installed this one. The long crystals came pre-installed, with a couple extras included in case of breakage. The fan uses a remote and has 6 speeds, moving a surprisingly impressive amount of air. The LED lights have several different colors and brightnesses. The fan runs quietly and has no balance issues thus far (it's only been a week). The clear blades fold away neatly on top of the light fixture when the fan isn't being used. IF you are looking for an understated "elegant" fan/light, this might be over the top. It came already assembled which is a nice change for a Wayfair item. Unfortunately, it didn’t come with the receiver, it came with a pair of gloves instead, so we weren’t able to finish installing it. Will update once customer service issue Is trained. When you turn on the light, you will be surprised at its beauty.

I was worried this might look too “cheap”, but it’s actually pretty nice looking and the retractable blades are pretty darn cool. My only complaint (and the reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5) is that the three variations of “white light” are so very similar. I love bright lights, but not all the time and the “soft white” of this fixture still looks like the old fashioned LED lights folks didn’t love because they were so industrial feeling. It still has that creepy cold LED glow that reminds me of the movie The Shining. I also didn’t like that. There is no pattern on the ceiling from the Crystal looking lampshade. That said, it was a great price, and I am going to move it to a room where I need a ceiling fan but not a light.
