I wanted a "girly" ceiling fan and light for my MBR, and this is the one I chose. Yes, the metal color is a bit brassy-pinkish -- some would say borderline tacky/campy -- but I like it for "glamming up" my bedroom. The crystals are beautiful and the 40 or so large, weighy spheres took about 45 minutes for me to attach after the elecrician removed the older fan and installed this one. The long crystals came pre-installed, with a couple extras included in case of breakage. The fan uses a remote and has 6 speeds, moving a surprisingly impressive amount of air. The LED lights have several different colors and brightnesses. The fan runs quietly and has no balance issues thus far (it's only been a week). The clear blades fold away neatly on top of the light fixture when the fan isn't being used. IF you are looking for an understated "elegant" fan/light, this might be over the top. When you do not use the fan, you can hide the blade, which is very convenient. There are many exquisite crystals on the lamp, which looks very elegant and luxurious. When you turn on the light, you will be surprised at its beauty.

I was worried this might look too “cheap”, but it’s actually pretty nice looking and the retractable blades are pretty darn cool. My only complaint (and the reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5) is that the three variations of “white light” are so very similar. I love bright lights, but not all the time and the “soft white” of this fixture still looks like the old fashioned LED lights folks didn’t love because they were so industrial feeling.
