It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954. We love our new ceiling fan. It was a bit challenging to put it on, took my husband and his dad 2 hours to put it on but they were by no means handy. It was a bit smaller than what I expected being 60inch but it serves it means. The fan was super quiet and strong, so I don’t mind it being a little bit smaller.
