The bed is absolutely gorgeous once put together. It has such a sophisticated look that elevates any bedroom. The issue was that I was unaware that I needed a box spring due to the bed frame not having the proper support. Please save yourself the headache and purchase a box spring/wooden slacks in advance. The rounded accents at the top and bottom of the bed are extremely difficult to install. I pushed one in as far as I could but the others just kind of sit there and are okay, as long as you don't touch them. Maybe I'll use gorilla glue on them if them falling off becomes an issue. I was able to put the bed together myself. The hardest part was attaching the side panels. It was much easier to attach to the headboard to the side panels (I just laid the headboard down flat and put the side rails perpendicular and put in the screws, however then to hold all that and attach to the footboard was a little struggle. I used some of the packaging material to set up a lift. I think the look is very western, Victorian and rustic.
