This murphy bed is working well in an extra bedroom. It looks nice and offers storage in the bottom drawer giving us a nice place to store the sheets and pillows for the bed when not in use. I'm very happy with this bed. It slides away and unfolds very easily. It took a long time to put together, but the instructions were very clear and every piece lined up perfectly. It looks great in my room. I also bought a 6" folding mattress to go in it. I haven't tried to put it away in the cabinet yet, but when I measure, there appears to be plenty of room for it.. Linda. The wood smells great out of the box. It is hard to put together I did it almost all by myself but needed help from another person a couple of times. Some holes seemed to be drilled slightly off so it was hard to put some pieces together. I wish more care would be put in the manufacturing process. There are also imperfections in some pieces, including a front panel, which was unfortunate. But it was still ok for overall. I like it. I think it’s very pretty, so I accepted the flaws anyway.. Assembly took ~6 person hours with a couple of mistakes that required taking some pieces apart and reassembling. Multiple pieces were not labeled with numbers and the instructions were somewhat difficult to follow. This piece is very sturdy but note that it weighs ~240 lbs in total. Converting it from a cabinet to a bed is definitely a 2 person operation as the top is quite heavy. A 6" trifold mattress just barely fits - it makes it hard to use the latch and puts pressure on the front panel such that it slightly bends outwards. We bought two of these for our guestgame room. There are a lot of steps to put them together but its actually quite easy. I suggest having a second person as some of the pieces are long, its just easy to line up with the other person. The wheels worked better on carpet than I thought they would.
