Love the bed and made it into a cozy place to sleep. But I have 2 gripes new buyers should be aware of and I have solutions to them. First off is the cross beams between the posts, I noticed in multiple review photos before purchase people had those beam not sitting straight or twisted. I ran into this issue and it is due to the 4 screws holding the mounting hardware for the beams onto the posts colliding before fully seating beams. My solutions to this issue is to first check screws for tightness and relocate screw positions for flatest possible positions. If 1 or more beams are still crooked, gently use a flathead screw driver and while the beam is partially sat in hardware of post, apply gentle pressure to the side not seating while watching screws to allow the screws to get past each other and for the beam to sit into place. My second gripe is the headboard, when leaned on it flexes a good amount. I positioned my bed against a wall like in the photos with an average floorboard spacing it from the drywall. The best solution I found for this was either finding or stacking 3 in wide ridged foam insulation and gluing or spray adhesive to back of headboard to sit against wall while being flush and giving the headboard no flex when leaned on. Took 4 hours to put the bed together by myself (27 year old woman). The instructions were pretty straightforward and everything was clearly labeled. It is very sturdy and high quality, no squeaking or wobbling. There was only one problem at the very last step. One of the balls wouldn’t screw in no matter what I tried but I was able to find a way around it. Overall, I highly recommend this bed, especially for the price. This is a surprisingly nice bed for the very modest price. Thanks to a one-piece headboard it does not feel too flimsy, which is often a problem with flat-pack metal beds. The headboard shelf is very handy and eliminates the need for a nightstand if you are pressed for space. I have mine covered with drapes for winter warmth, but the headboard and footboard design are very pretty and proportional so I think it would also look beautiful with more of the frame exposed. Would work for an adult or a child, depending on how you dressed it. Took about an hour to put together and realistically, you only need a second person for maybe five minutes. The canopy bed is beautiful and was easy to assemble. The instructions included are accurate and easy to follow. I only knocked a star off because the top and bottom "F" pieces did not screw in on the left side of the bed because the screw holes didn't align properly. I even tried turning them around, flipping them upside down and swapping the places of the 2 bars, to no avail. But I just left the bars slotted into the brackets and I think it will be ok..they are just not secured with screws on that side of the bed.
