This is a great bed, easy to build, sturdy, and the color is lovely. Our youngest loves his new big boy bed. We love all the storage for a small room. We also appreciate the drawers being on casters so that it’s easy to move them out to vacuum under the bed. I have a few minor gripes: figuring out the placement of the slats was awkward (it has improved from an earlier version of a similar bed, where each slat had to be screwed in; this one is easier). It would help to have guide marks on the frame as to where the slats should go. When the bed is finished, screws on the headboard are visible above the pillow. I don’t know why they’re not facing the back of the headboard. Lastly, I wish there were a cover for the drawers so that the things stored inside don’t get easily dusty. I was able to put the bed together myself. The hardest part was attaching the side panels. It was much easier to attach to the headboard to the side panels (I just laid the headboard down flat and put the side rails perpendicular and put in the screws, however then to hold all that and attach to the footboard was a little struggle. I used some of the packaging material to set up a lift. I think the look is very western, Victorian and rustic. I am in love with this bed frame! It looks sooooo good. Not super hard to put together if you follow the instructions and wait until the end to tighten everything. I wish some of the visible boltsscrews were tan colored so they would blend in more but I can always just paint them tan if I want.
