Our queen mattress fits the frame and doesn’t protrude over the edge and there’s low risk for stubbing your toes or banging your knees on the frame. The drawers are not on a track, just loose on wheels and they attach to the frame by Velcro. The inside of the drawers are plastic which I prefer to the wire baskets that I’ve seen some other storage beds have. My husband did not encounter any complications assembling it. Size Purchased: California King Overall very content with this purchase. I live alone so assembly was a bit difficult but I managed by myself (6'4" dude), but for most buyers I'd imagine it would take two people to handle it. During assembly very important to leave bolts at joints loose so that they can be wiggled into tight fighting place at final stages. Prior to laying down the mattress on top, the smaller composite wood legs in the middle of the frame did not touch flush with the ground. However, with laying down the mattress and lying on it they support the weight and the frame feels sturdy/doesn't wobble.
