This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. Decent bed. Feels sturdy enough I was able to put it together alone, but it took about 8 hours going at a slow pace with lots of breaks. Get a kneepad if you have one. Be sure to look at both sides of each piece immediately after you attach to make sure you have the right orientation. I found a backwards one twice and it was a considerable setback. The directions could be confusing at times, generally just sitting and staring at the parts for a bit or looking ahead to next few steps would made it clear. I'm giving it a 4 star review be use a received 3 unlabeled parts, luckily I could narrow them down. And because the pull out shelfs cannot be wheeled out , at least if you have carpet, and are a very tight fit. Photo attached shows why. The bottom of the shelf sides touches the ground and makes the wheels pointless. I will likely use them in the closet instead. The storage drawers are a little awkward to use. I struggle get the hook lined up and set in the slot to close them. Do not recommend if you have a bad back or mobility issues. The light is great if you like a bit of a night light.. M. Madison, WI. We’re slowly updating our bedroom furniture and decided to start with the piece that would make the most impact - the bed! Overall, love it. It’s simple, which is exactly what we were looking for. The way the slats work with the Velcro and screwing directly into the two support beams ensures everything is even and the mattress will be properly supported. The under bed clearance is perfect, just enough to store things but not so high that you can see a bunch of under bed storage bins. The way the side rails connect to the footboard and the headboard is a great idea in theory, but the execution is poor. The metal connectors fit into the slots, but they’re don’t push down and lock in like the directions state they should. We had to get a mallet and really whack it to get all four corners to lock in. Even after the fact, one of them still didn’t lock it super well. So I recommend after you get everything assembled and placed in your room where you want it, get after it with a mallet again on all four corners. Also be sure to cover the bed frame with a towel before using the mallet. A triple folded bath towel was perfect, and left no indents on the bed frame. Overall, I’d buy this bed frame again! The bed went together fairly easily, even with one person! For a few of the steps, I had it leaning on the wall with a blanket for extra protection, but the pieces went together smoothly with little extra effort. The most time consuming part was simply attaching the bed slats, which was quick with a drill. I bought another frame for 100 less on wayfair and the quality was not great I should have just spent a bit more and gotten a second one of these, would buy again.
