This is a very cute islandtable! The countertop itself is pretty heavy duty. The rest of the wood is somewhat lightweight. Overall,, assembly instructions are fairly easy to follow. The most challenging part of assembly is the final alignment of the counter top to the base and legs. The holes do not align perfect and you will need significant pressure on top to fit the top on to the base correctly. Additionally, there are no spare screws, so if you break one (likely), you will not have all of the necessary hardware to complete it with all of the screws as required. 8/10, an absolute WIN! One piece of the table has a dent in it due to shipping and handling. I put a vase on top of it to hide it. Wayfair gave a me a small % of a refund due to the dent. I paid for the professional assembly Wayfair offers, and it took him 3.5 hours to assemble. TONS of pieces, and the instruction manual is crucial! It has plenty of space, is aesthetically pleasing, and gives my kitchen the luxury upgrade I desire. It has two drawers that don’t have the lock when you extend it, so I have to be careful when opening it. I even added books where some would put spices, so I am loving the dual purpose.
