We ordered this because of the size and look . It took 2 days for my husband to put togeather and he is very handy . The drawers are very flimsy , and the cupboard only came with one shelf so I had to buy extra wired shelving to maximixe the space. What I am sick about the amount of GARBAGE this created, 5 bags of styrofoam and 4 bundles of cardboard! I wish I never ordered this and I really wish Wayfair would offer a green option with little packaging . This is for our cottage and we will only use it for 6 months of the year. I wish we had bought all wood one locally with no garbage .IF this lasts for 2 years it would be a miracle. For the price , it was very expensive . If it was wood it would have made a differeance .It looks cheap and I am super disappointed with the overall purchase. I would like a refund !. Trudy. Oakville Ontario, ON. Mon Sep 28 2026

Very classy design, heavy and sturdy with eye-catching detail and impressive proportions. This was a significant purchase for my new home, and it looks like it was made just for my kitchen. But I am not $1,500 worth of happy... I would put my happiness rating at about $900. But I paid over $1,500 and I have some issues with this item. Mostly, the paint and overall finish on the legs and frame it not what I expected. The little bare detail spots are very rough and not sanded smooth so they will snag clothing if you brush up against it. And the wood used for the legs is heavy but also can be dented quite easily (which happened during assembly using a hand tool). But the real kicker for me is the paint job... for this much money it just doesn't seem to be "finished." You can scratch it off with a fingernail. With 3 small dogs in my house this is a potential problem. Add to that, the paint was not sealed in any way- and John Boos SELLS a poly coat product! I guess John Boos wants me to spend another $30.... and apply it myself. Which would have been easier before I assembled it. Now that it's put together, it will be a difficult job. So for a piece that cost almost as much as my new leather sofa I am satisfied enough with it, but not totally happy and excited.. Karen M. Lawrenceville, GA. Sat Apr 26 2025
