I have lots of experience in that area and generally enjoy assembly and this took me 4-5 hours to assemble. I wanted an island with a trash can cabinet. It took a long time to assemble and the directions were not the best. Also, the materials are not the best quality. This is a fairly substantial piece that was easy to install, very well packaged and arrived quickly. Overall, for the price point, this is a nice piece. It is such an accommodating unit for function and storage options: a storage cabinet, supports 1-2 counter stools for dining and folds down when not in use, it has a trash bin and towel bars and best of all, it's portable! Our only criticisms are minor: (1) that one of the stickers to label the parts pulled off a small section of the black finish near one of the towel bars, (2) the second towel bar on one side is blocked so a towel can not hang freely - not sure of the intent of the design there and (3) up close the fluted style is not as prominent as it appears in the images because part of it is a door that rolls open/closed in a track. All in all, we find this unit to be packed with features, substantial in construction, good directions for installation and we certainly recommend this item to others.. Karen. US. Tue Jul 28 2026
