I love this kitchen island. Adds lots of storage and extra workspace in our kitchen with limited counters and cabinets. I like that it's closed on one side to contain the mess. It's very heavy which was a little cumbersome to bring inside by myself, but feels so much sturdier and more substantial than other islands and carts I've seen. I like that it's real wood.
Some of the holes didn't line up exactly when I was putting it together which was frustrating... I did the best I could, some things didn't get screwed in all the way, but it still seems sturdy. Probably better to have another person to help, but I bought this as a surprise. The drawers were a little funky to pull out at first but with some repeated use they're ok. The little foldable edge is kind of useless if you're thinking of using it to sit at and eat. We just leave it out as extra counter space and to kind of shelter the dogs' bowls at the base of the island.
