8/10, an absolute WIN! One piece of the table has a dent in it due to shipping and handling. I put a vase on top of it to hide it. Wayfair gave a me a small % of a refund due to the dent. I paid for the professional assembly Wayfair offers, and it took him 3.5 hours to assemble. TONS of pieces, and the instruction manual is crucial! It has plenty of space, is aesthetically pleasing, and gives my kitchen the luxury upgrade I desire. It has two drawers that don’t have the lock when you extend it, so I have to be careful when opening it. I even added books where some would put spices, so I am loving the dual purpose. Acquired this for use in my son’s college apartment this year. It arrived well packaged and was easy to fit in his car for the 7 hour drive. He spent about 2 hours assembling it alone using his own collection of power tools. The box included tools, but he thinks it would have taken an additional 2 hours to assemble with those. He thinks it will work great for the extra storage they needed for the small apartment kitchen, and they really like the extended table feature for additional countertop work surfaces. Would recommend this product 810 Assembly was moderate, however there is an imbalance if you leave the wheels on the bottom as instructed. We opted to remove wheels altogether and will just have to manually lift the island to place elsewhere if needed. The countertop extension is a genius idea. We love being able to drop it back out of the way when not in use. Now we just need to find some stools.! The material is fantastic for the most part. The only drawback back in my opinion is that the back boards, closest to where people sitting at the extension would be, are really thin and likely to break if someone accidentally kicks it. We chose the *White Dodge Kitchen Island and we thoroughly LOVE it❣️ Btw, we think it's very slightly off-white, but that is what we wanted. It is Perfect in every way possible for us❣️ The look and colors fit into our 103 year old Craftsman House so well. Where our last island was open underneath, the Dodge Kitchen Island has plenty of closed storage space for a much less cluttered feel. Our last island was shorter in length, narrower in width; the Dodge Kitchen Island gives my SO/Fiance-Chef PLENTY of Counter Space to work with at an area of 60 by 30 inches! This means he can store his Kitchen Knives, Cutting Boards, Basket of cooking oils, plus a few other items, AND still have room to work!! We began searching for a kitchen island last year when we came across this Dodge Kitchen Island, but the price was out of range for us at the time. I saved the link, checked in now and then, looking, patiently waiting, hoping for a sale. Occasionally it did go on sale, not in a way that made it affordable for us. So I kept saving money for it. One night in the wee hours, scrolling through Wayfair I saw that it had gone on sale again, the price was $400 off; I hemmed and hawed, then just threw it in the cart and BOUGHT IT❣️ My husband-to-be LOVES cooking, I knew he LOVED THIS kitchen island, and he deserves the BEST. He woke in the middle of the night, I told him what I did, he said, "YOU WHAT??! THAT'S INSANE". I said, we do have the money in savings, you know I can rebuild it again, and you deserve the kitchen of your dreams. By morning he agreed, and now HE LOVES IT❣️ This island is very well made with thick, sturdy, pine. The wheels were in a packet strapped in the right side cupboard, the strap is screwed down; you will need a phillips screwdriver to remove it if your Pro-Relo shipper/driver does not do this for you. You will use the same screwdriver to remove the screws that are holding the front-side doors open, (they do this to keep the doors from sliding around during shipping). On the TOWEL RACK, you need not bump your knees, ROFL! The Towel Rack was merely screwed there for shipping purposes. Zip tied to the towel rack is an envelope, screws, a template, and directions; this is for you to use so you can place that towel rack at either end of the island. Chris, my Dear Love & SO says to tell you this: "Unless somebody is very skilled with a drill/driver, screw them in with a (non powered) screwdriver. It would be very easy to strip them out with just a little too much torque applied." I do believe he is correct in his assessment, pine is a VERY soft wood, if you strip out the hole you are attempting to screw the screw into, (don't say it, I know what you are thinking ), you will not be able to use said hole for placing the towel rack there. This is a great product. It’s wasn’t difficult to put together but it took a long time due to so many pieces. It took about 5.5 hours to assemble for one person but I think would be quicker and easier with 2 people. I gave it four stars because the trash bin drawer is a little shaky so we added L brackets to give a little more stability to the drawer. Overall I think this was a great purchase.. Sandra. I loved the look of this cabinet/table when I saw it. It was just what I was looking for; a table that converts into a small cabinet when not needed as a table. There were no reviews which made me nervous initially to make the purchase but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. The table came in two boxes and was very well packaged. I was very impressed as I unboxed it and laid out the parts. Everything was well labeled and all pieces were present along with extras. It took my husband and I a little over 6 hours to assemble it. I would have easily given it 5 stars except for a few cons to this beautifully designed cabinet/table. Cons: It comes with lighting in the glassed storage shelving and electrical outlet on the side of the cabinet. These were not necessary. They ended up making the unit messy with cords and cables. I'm using it as a desk so you rarely see or need the cabinet lighting. The lighting is also powered by plugging it into the USB port on the desk. It's just not necessary. Secondly, the unit sits very flush to the floor. It was probably not intended to be on an area rug like I have it so I can't put it flush to the wall and the shelf drawer drags when I open it to access the inside. looks just like the pictures! well packaged. long process to assemble as there are many parts to it but the instructions were clear so it wasn't super difficult. extended table top does not clip in anywhere so it shifts from the rolling legs some times.
