Very classy design, heavy and sturdy with eye-catching detail and impressive proportions. This was a significant purchase for my new home, and it looks like it was made just for my kitchen. But I am not $1,500 worth of happy... I would put my happiness rating at about $900. But I paid over $1,500 and I have some issues with this item. Mostly, the paint and overall finish on the legs and frame it not what I expected. The little bare detail spots are very rough and not sanded smooth so they will snag clothing if you brush up against it. And the wood used for the legs is heavy but also can be dented quite easily (which happened during assembly using a hand tool). But the real kicker for me is the paint job... for this much money it just doesn't seem to be "finished." You can scratch it off with a fingernail. With 3 small dogs in my house this is a potential problem. Add to that, the paint was not sealed in any way- and John Boos SELLS a poly coat product! I guess John Boos wants me to spend another $30.... and apply it myself. Which would have been easier before I assembled it. Now that it's put together, it will be a difficult job. So for a piece that cost almost as much as my new leather sofa I am satisfied enough with it, but not totally happy and excited.. Karen M. Lawrenceville, GA. Sat Apr 26 2025

Beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Delivery could have been better. I just happened to see them putting the 160 pound butcher block in front of my garage door. The quality is superb and the walnut color is beautiful and compliments our wood ceiling beams. My hubby and I had it put together in about 30 minutes. Just an FYI this is a substantial, very heavy, well made piece of furniture. Now I just need to add a couple counter stools..... Noelle. Stanardsville, VA. Sat Nov 14 2020

The Cucina Americana line blends European design with trademark butcher blocks and food service-grade stainless steel to create kitchen equipment that is unique, attractive, and functional. This prep table features a stainless steel base.

We ordered the Cucina GrNSW Prep Table with Butcher Block Top (without the optional pot rack mounted above as the picture shows). It took about 5 weeks from order to delivery. We paid extra for the white glove service to construct the prep table. I have to say the service was exceptional, the delivery team were professional, and had the table assembled and all the packing material removed from our kitchen (two flights of stairs up from the street) in no time - they were very respective and quick. We LOVE the Prep Table, our ONLY comment is that the lower shelf sort of tings whenever we place anything on that shelf. This is not a deal breaker, but we might try to find a way to dampen the “ting” sound whenever we put anything on the lower shelf. Bottom line - we LOVE this prep table, it looks so nice in our kitchen!. Paula. San Diego, CA. Sun Jul 09 2023

Heavy-duty, contemporary and cherry block finish simply adds panache to our small kitchen area. While we store all of our spices, herbs and liquid marinades underneath on the steel shelving, there are plenty of advantages to having heavy casters to meet the equally substantial demand of this butcher block cart moving from a kitchen to a dining room/eating area. I could easily see this kitchen cart in a kitchen restaurant/café Pricey, yet well worth the cost Easy to put together; easier with electric drill/screw driver. James. Long Beach, CA.
