Wonderful design - I love the shelves, and the shade gives lots of nice quality light. Assembly is very straightforward - the instructions explain things well, and there’s really no way to mess it up. However, the way some of the pieces fit together is just a bit off. I ordered two of these lamps, and on one the lampshade doesn’t sit straight no matter which way I turn it around and try to make it sit straight (see the close-up photo). On the other lamp, the lampshade sits perfectly (see the full-length photo) but some of the long pieces that connect between the shelves jut out a teensy bit further than they should (probably can’t tell in the photo, you have to look close to notice). Decent lamp for the price point (bought on sale). The height works for our tall ceilings and I like that the arch isn’t super wide like many similar styles. But I take off a point for the color. Online it looks like a true, light gold. In person it’s a lot more brassy and the color makes it look a bit cheaper than it would otherwise. Overall it works for now and would’ve been a 5 if the color was true gold. Very pleased with this pharmacy-style floor lamp, purchased in the black. The finish is very nice, looks so much nicer than most of the high-end lamps I was considering. The base is heavy so the lamp is secure and doesn’t tip easily. I used a 40 watt tube-style bulb which also looks nice. I also like the adjustable height, as I was having difficulty finding a lamp which would go as low as I needed. It was easy to assemble once I wrestled it out of the styrofoam packing, and I am by no means complaining about the packaging because that is why the lamp arrived in perfect condition.
