This has a rolled up lamp shade but other than the dark line at the top and bottom of the shade and the seam, it is not obvious from a distance. I love the solid light wood tone. It goes lovely with my decor. I was a bit disappointed that it was a shade you need to put together. However it was easy to assemble and looks good. I also didn’t like the glow of the light bulb that came with it and I don’t think it was 100 watts. I replaced that. Gives off great light. Very pleased with this black wood brushed nickel tripod floor lamp with white drum shade. Arrived well packed protected. Set up was easy, height is adjustable, and it uses a standard 3-way socket. Nice long cord. We are using it in a high ceiling livingroom, with a 150 watt equivalent 3-way GE LED bulb for maximum illumination. Cool looking floor lamp. Con’s product made in China….
