This has a rolled up lamp shade but other than the dark line at the top and bottom of the shade and the seam, it is not obvious from a distance. Overall very pleased with this lamp, it gives off enough light to on its own for mood lighting but not enough to complete tasks such as reading. It does wonders to brighten up my dark corner in the winter. The only true complaint I have is that I thought the globe was a bulb but it’s actually a plastic cover.
