Bright light with a compact design. The base is a nice warm gold tone. For me it’s limiting because the only way to turn it on is via the button on the wire at the base but where I have to plug it in the button is under other furniture. This is such a pretty and well made lamp. It came boxed up really well, and it is nice and heavy and sturdy. The quality is much better than I even expected. The clear glass is actually glass and not plexiglass and the shade is also really nice quality. It accommodates up to 150 watts (3 way bulb) so it would be great for mood lighting in a living room, which is where I will be using it. I am happy with this lamp and think it is well made. So I really like this lamp first of all. It is the perfect height for my son. Its gold finish gives it a nice classic look to it. I loved that it has a step on and off peddle no need to reach to turn it on. I was trying to make my son a small little readingdrawing nook area to do what he enjoys the most. I was just not expecting that the top was glass and I accidentally broke one of the pieces so instead of 3 glass rings it has 2 in the picture.
