The lamp is beautiful and works well in my office. The lamp shade is easy to assemble and filters the light while also providing sufficient illumination. One section of the body of the lamp didn’t align precisely however, with the natural appearance of the stand, it’s not very obvious. I did need some help attaching the base so that the lamp didn’t tilt. My dad had to hold the base for me so I could align the threads of the base and the body correctly. This is a nice looking lamp. I got it because I thought it would go well with the Mission-style of furniture in my son’s bedroom and I think it does. This floor lamp is all about dimension and texture. The woven vine that makes up the outer diffuser is not only an attractive feature but is strong enough to serve as a protective barrier for the inner diffuser.
