Unusable. The lamp ships in a box about 6"x3"x12", which means a really cheap looking shade that never fully Velcro's at the seam. The pole is noticeably tilted. The remote control is not intuitive, but that didn't matter because the buttons worked only about 6 times and never again. This is a solid lamp. When I was assembling it, I was impressed with how solid it felt. The base is weighted and the pieces screwed together tightly. It has a foot pedal and a remote to power it. You can change the color and brightness of the light (only warm and cool white not other colors).
