Wonderful design - I love the shelves, and the shade gives lots of nice quality light. Assembly is very straightforward - the instructions explain things well, and there’s really no way to mess it up. However, the way some of the pieces fit together is just a bit off. I ordered two of these lamps, and on one the lampshade doesn’t sit straight no matter which way I turn it around and try to make it sit straight (see the close-up photo). On the other lamp, the lampshade sits perfectly (see the full-length photo) but some of the long pieces that connect between the shelves jut out a teensy bit further than they should (probably can’t tell in the photo, you have to look close to notice). But there were a couple of issues I found there was a dent on the base as though somebody had dropped something pointed on it, and the wood had some imperfections. I know full well that I could’ve sent it back and Wayfair would have replaced the lamp they are very good about that sort of thing. But the issues weren’t so bad that I decided not to keep the lamp. I have received the floor lamp shipment; however, upon beginning the assembly process, I discovered that the tri-leg component required for the top assembly is missing. As this item was purchased as new rather than an open-box unit, it is disappointing to receive a damaged product in its original packaging. Despite these issues, I am quite pleased with the design of the lamp and the functionality of the controller.
