A simple high/low rotary switch is located on the shade cup to adjust the brightness. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. Bulbs are not included. NOTE: Use incandescent bulbs up to 150W or dimmable led bulbs (DO NOT USE: 3-way bulbs or CFLs). We recommend using incandescent bulbs for best results achieving both settings of 50% brightness and 100% brightness with no flicker. When using LED bulbs, it is common to see some flicker on the low setting (a high setting will always have no flicker). A dimmable LED will minimize the low-setting flicker, but may still occur.

I absolutely love this lamp. I just wish it was a little bit taller. The light that it gives off is absolutely beautiful and you can choose to have both of the lights on at the same time or they could be on at different times. Overall, it matches the modern aesthetic that I am going for in my living room and they would also serve as a nightlight during the night.
