The lamp is beautiful and works well in my office. The lamp shade is easy to assemble and filters the light while also providing sufficient illumination. One section of the body of the lamp didn’t align precisely however, with the natural appearance of the stand, it’s not very obvious. I did need some help attaching the base so that the lamp didn’t tilt. My dad had to hold the base for me so I could align the threads of the base and the body correctly. Low profile, and perfect of the space I need! This lamp will do the trick for a corner area behind my husband's desk. Easy to assemble, though the lamp shade was a little tricky to clip together. An Adesso patented 300 Watt Double Socket construction allows for two crisscrossed sockets, each holding on/off 150 Watt incandescent or LED bulbs which provide approximately 3 times more light than a typical torchiere. A simple high/low rotary switch is located on the shade cup to adjust the brightness. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. Bulbs are not included. NOTE: Use incandescent bulbs up to 150W or dimmable led bulbs (DO NOT USE: 3-way bulbs or CFLs). We recommend using incandescent bulbs for best results achieving both settings of 50% brightness and 100% brightness with no flicker. When using LED bulbs, it is common to see some flicker on the low setting (a high setting will always have no flicker). A dimmable LED will minimize the low-setting flicker, but may still occur.
