This is such a pretty and well made lamp. It came boxed up really well, and it is nice and heavy and sturdy. The quality is much better than I even expected. The clear glass is actually glass and not plexiglass and the shade is also really nice quality. It accommodates up to 150 watts (3 way bulb) so it would be great for mood lighting in a living room, which is where I will be using it. I am happy with this lamp and think it is well made. My favorite lamp! I live in Florida and found this would fit perfectly into my decor considering I own 10 palm trees! I love it. It was a little difficult navigating assembly. I needed a wrench to secure the bottom, luckily I happened to have it. There's a nut on the bottom that just spins unless you hold it steady while you tighten the bottom to the first bar. There's only two things that took away a star. One-the bulbs are super bright. My son complained so I had to turn it off. Two-the bulbs are little plugs I've never seen before and I'm not sure how I will be able to replace them when the time comes. Overall I love it! Very substantial, handsome floor lamp. It is beside a bed in a room with very traditional furnishings.
