Final results look good and function as desired. Probably took me 2 hours to assemble. That included careful "reading" and checking the parts list and then having to redo some things. Once was my fault but other times it related to an incorrect instruction diagram and issues with their construction. If you can not "read" the picture directions (this may or may not be your strength) you will be frustrated because there are no words. If you don't have a basic understanding of how things should go together you may be unable to continue assembling the cart if you have a label pointing in the wrong direction and it is just plain wrong! Or you need to be prepared to clear out the glue and sawdust jam stuck in the groove to hold the side wall. In the end I took the towel holder off after first putting it on. It was on the wrong side for my limited space. I'll think about filling the 4 holes but I'm in no rush since the holes are against the wall and not visible. I only had 2 marks that were visible paint damage but fortunately they faced the back wall. Almost everything was packaged and labeled clearly. Except for the arrow label pointing to the front when in fact it was pointing to the back. There were no missing parts or pieces. So overall I am pleased with this rolling cabinet, which I am using for my microwave. I particularly like the stainless steel top, the locking wheels, the amount of storage and the drawer that works smoothly. The color is a medium gray but not exactly the shade I was expecting but it doesn't have to match anything in my kitchen. Included 3 photos: 1. Completed cart next to my old microwave stand. 2. Glue and sawdust stuck in the groove to hold the side wall. 3. Two white marks where the paint was scratched off.

This is the perfect height for standing preparation & our Ikea barstools fit just right with enough space to slide your legs under whilst dining. I'm 5'8 for reference, & the top of the counter sits a few inches below my belly button. My husband is 5'10 he says it's a perfect height as well. The drawers have a locking feature where you have to push in on one corner & you can hear it click shut, perfect if you have a leaning floor- these drawers aren't going to open unless you want them to! Assembly was very easy, hardest part was hauling the big box up the stairs, it weighs 100 pounds including the packaging so I recommend 2 people to unpack & assemble it. The only serious con to this table is you cannot chop directly on the surface, as it's not made for that. I can see the surface eventually needing some refinishing a few years down the line if we treat it without respect; But since this piece is solid wood I really don't mind the delicacy of the tabletop's finish because it's beautiful! I would not set anything hot or wet on the surface as I imagine it could cloud the lacquer (coasters, placemats, & a trivet could come in handy if you plan on using this as your main work area). If the table isn't pushed against a wall the surface will wiggle a *smidge* if you're working on it but it's stable & sturdy, any table will do that to some degree & this table is no exception. The bottom of the legs have height adjusters, which are a God send when you have uneven flooring (this feature made me sigh a breath of relief because we really needed them)! It slides with ease on wood laminate if you need to move it, but it never slides out of place when you're working on it. Whoever designed this table thought it out well! I searched for multiple days trying to find a similar design like this table & I could NOT find anything else fitting the criteria. We got this on sale for half off ($352) which is a steal of a deal. If my pockets were lined more I would most definitely purchase this table at full price because the quality is just there, you can't deny it. My husband & I both agreed we will have this table in our home(s) for years to come. I was so nervous to purchase such a big item offline- especially when this was my first ever Wayfair purchase. I am more than pleased with the quality, shipping, & customer service that Wayfair offers. I have included some photos to help anyone else having a hard time deciding. One odd thing I noticed was that the table appears shorter in photos than it really is in person. The measurements for this table are accurate, so don't let any pictures fool you into thinking this table is short. I love the heck out of this table & it's made my small kitchen an absolute joy to be in. Best online furniture purchase ever, by far! I could say confidently that it was way fair(er) than all of the other online competitors- pun intended! (;

I was super impressed with the packaging of this product. Everything was tucked and wrapped securely so there was absolutely no chance of damage. Also the fact that every wood piece and each hardware type was labeled with a sticker number or letter for easy identification is a huge plus as it makes finding each piece very easy. There are 2 reasons I didn't give it 5 stars. One was because one of my pieces of hardware was defective - there were no threads on the inside like the rest of them where the screw can thread into it - so I'm currently searching for one of those. Luckily I was able to forgo adding it to the middle open shelf area and simply will not use that shelf until I get the part. The second reason is that there were a few errors with regards to the instructions. The legend I guess you can call it - where it specifies what hardware you will use for that step specified screw "B" whereas the detailed picture of where the hardware goes specified it as screw "A". I'm glad I caught that. So I jumped ahead in the instructions to see which one I would be using in future steps. It was simple enough to figure out with enough planning. I was being super cautious and thorough because there is nothing I hate more than putting something together only to realize I got something backwards and have to take it apart again! The other error was the drawer tracks were mislabelled. I noticed in the picture on the instructions that the drawer track being secured to part #5 had an indentation to make it lay flat and even with part #5. I realized that someone had accidentally mixed the labels up for that drawer track and the similar looking piece that attaches to the bottom of the drawer. So note to those buying - just make sure to verify part #'s match up with the detailed pictures. There are no written instructions, just pictures and notations of what hardware you are to use. Because I was being cautious it probably took me 3+ hours to put together by myself. Overall though I am very happy with the purchase!

We remodeled our kitchen this year and needed a little more storage and counter space when entertaining the extended family at holidays, as well as hiding the recycle bin. This seemed to fit the bill. Encouraged by the reviews that said 'my husband and I built this in two hours!,' I encouraged my husband to delay his football watching and help me build this. OK, we're not the handiest - and it took us closer to FOUR hours - but it was easy, due to extremely detailed labeling of the pieces and hardware, and good directions, pictures AND description, which is unusual these days. It was also incredibly well-packed with foam wrap and styrofoam inserts - great at protecting it for shipping (no crushed corners) but very cumbersome to dispose of. There are several areas of marred finish but not large enough or bad enough to return. A lot of difficulty closing those lock latches - we often had to use the handle of a screwdriver to press them down. We switched out the handles to match those on our kitchen cabinets - easy until the 2nd drawer which was just a hair off but we drilled the hole a bit larger to make it fit. Helpful hint - when trying to line up the pre-drilled holes between drawer pieces, insert toothpicks in the smaller hole and then 'thread' the other piece with through-holes onto the toothpicks, remove the toothpick and drop the screw in. Overall, a good value, relatively easy to build, and great packaging (but a recycle nightmare).

I really love the finished product. It has plenty of room for storage and looks sharp. I personally set it up as a coffee bar and it holds my Keurig, with tons of room still on top. The drawer holds a bunch of k cups with room to spare, and the cabinet underneath is spacious- I can hold all of my coffee cups plus pots and pans, pyrex dishes, wine glasses, etc. I love the side bar- perfect for hand towels. Now, for the reasons it didn't get that 5th star- or should I say one single reason. ASSEMBLY. It can be done by one person but its not super easy. Not all of the pieces are marked with the numbers assigned to them in the instructions- in some cases I had to give my best educated guess- luckily it worked out. The hardware wasn't clearly marked either... for a while I thought I had lost, thrown out or didn't get some of the hardware only to realize they grouped some together and didnt mark others. Pre-drilled holes did not always line up, resulting in the inside of the drawer that the rail attaches to, to crack down the center- but it's still functioning. The whole frame seemed wobbly until it was close to complete with the back panel nailed on. The magnetic pieces are in plastic and are supposed to "snap" into the doors, however, the plastic cracked on both when trying to install and had to be manipulated to get them to go in- but again, still functioning. The worst part was the wheels- there were no guide holes drilled so they had to be done manually (not easy) and with a "best guess" at lining them up appropriately. Is it worth paying for assembly? I'd say 75%yes.

I wish I could have given 5 stars as I love the style, how it looks in my kitchen and the size of the storage areas. However, I now wish I had purchased the warranty plan. I know it says to avoid delivery feedback but this is a positive as to how well packaged this kitchen island was, as our neighbor witnessed the box falling off the dolly and onto the cement driveway as the delivery guys had not seated it securely enough to prevent this from happening. We were not home at the time, but our neighbor just wanted us to know incase there was any damage to what was inside. But nare a scratch, dent, ding, or broken/split wood. It was so well protected by the way it had been packaged. It is a beautiful piece of furniture and it provides the much needed storage I need in my kitchen which has very few cabinets. It has ample storage within the cabinet area but the shelf is not adjustable, and though the description states the shelf is 12 inches it is not. The bottom floor of the cabinet to under shelf is 8 3/8 inches high clearance. From the top of the shelf to up and under the roof of cabinet is 10 3/4 inches clearance, but the opening allowance for that shelf area is 8 inches, so maneuvering taller items is needed to get them onto the shelf. I had planned on storing my small kitchen appliances in this island but the stationary shelf height will not for it. So I moved my pots and pans into the island and put the appliances in the taller cabinet that accomodates them nicely. Another reason for the 4 star (I even considered 3 stars to be quite honest, but didn't do to the fact I do like the look of this piece and the products used to build it are of good quality and very solid) is that there were globs and smears of dried on caulk(?), some large areas, on the granite top. It looks as if when the granite top was installed whom ever did the installation must have gotten the caulk used around the edge of the granite on their hands/fingers and then didn't clean it off before touching the top, then may have tried to clean it off with a quick wipe of the area but not a very good job to say the least. I cannot seem to get this dried on caulk off without using a harsh cleaner that may damage the granite sealer and surface. So it will remain, smudges and smears. I also am not a fan of the granite color itself. It has a hazy look to it from the gray flecks (a lot of them and very densely scattered throughout) that causes the granite to always look dusty. The last thing that caused my lower rating is that the center drawer worked perfectly when I slide it open the first few times. I did not put any items into it until 2 weeks afterwards (so weight inside the drawer did not cause this issue) and when I tried to slide it open it grabbed and stuck about 1/3 way open making it hard to pull all the way open. Upon my husbands inspection he discovered the wooden ledges that the drawer rest on and is to slide on were faulty. One was warped and the other had been installed crooked so that it was not flush with the front opening but was raised up about 1/8 inch. Since I did not purchase the warranty and it would have been a royal pain to ship back he decided to try and fix the drawer himself by grinding down and sanding these pieces. He took quite a bit off and though the drawer works a bit easier it still sticks. I like the style and look of the island enough to live with the hazy smudged granite top and the sticking drawer. I like the fact you can roll and move it if need be (which the wheels work smoothly for this) and the wheels are not visable. It has the look of a stationary island which I like, as well.

I just received and assembled this unit yesterday. There are a lot of good points and bad points to it: First the bad, and that some “cost cutting measures” are very evident. The 3 back panels of the island are mad of material very similar to a cardboard like backing on a cheap bookcase, like the famous “Billy” bookcases. The material IS a little sturdier, but the island would be a LOT nicer if made of better quality/appearance wood. Secondly why is the back engineered into three panels and three crossbars and posts? Why can’t it be one piece? It would make assembly FAR easier. At one point during back assembly you’ll need to simultaneously balance vertically: a large side panel, three of the cheap back panels, a horizontal cross piece, and while holding them with both hands, insert and tighten two head bolts with your other two hands. You don’t have four hands? I wedged the pieces up against existing furniture to hold them, but assembly is really a two person job. Speaking to two people: you’ll need two to left this, it is very heavy and bulky. My Fedex man hates me now. The wood itself is very mismatched, and you’ll see a lot of cases where two mismatched pieces are put together with a “finger jointer” (see photo). Overall for the money the quality of this unit exceeds the cost of the unit, and I am glad I bought it. The casters are good quality, the paper towel holder and the knife holder are good quality, and do not need to be added to the unit. They give you extra parts for all hardware, and each bag of parts is labelled and securely sealed. They give you the proper Allen wrench for assembly, so all you will need is a Phillips screwdriver to put everything together. Packaging was superb, nothing arrived damaged, there’s tons of foam inside separating everything and the layout inside the box is well thought out. My unit had a defect btw, and I hate to mention it because your probably won’t have it and this is the part you may remember from this review: the bottom front cross piece (Part “J”) is supposed to have 4 pre-drilled holes to mount the spring-loaded pins that hold the doors on (btw the easiest assembly step, putting the four doors on, by far, well designed!). Mine had only two on the inside doors. The other two on the outside were marked by wax dots, but only shallow dimples, no holes. I made holes, but perhaps not deep enough (out of fear) and my outside doors will occasionally fall off when opening. I’ll work on that this weekend. Finally be VERY careful when assembling the two drawers, which come in a separate box. I assumed the two drawers were identical (they do seem to be actually), but some parts are labelled with “N’s” and the other set with “O’s”. I mixed them up initially and one drawer wouldn’t go in properly. Following instructions is “hard” . The instructions btw are a gray scale, I’d recommend you download the link from Wayfair after you buy, as its ink is jet black and easier to read, plus in some cases the instructions do not tell you which way a panel goes: and you’ll need to look really hard at the drawing to see which way. Glad I bought it, warts and all!

One thing that is difficult about reading reviews is that people have varying, and often opposite, experiences. As I read the reviews for this item, before my purchase, I saw some comments about poor quality or damage that might have occurred during shipment. I found the assembled cart to be what I expected--maybe nicer looking--and perfectly functional. I agree with at least one reviewer that the center drawer may have an issue, as it is hard to open, but it is functional. I would say, overall, that the quality is great for an item priced this low. It is also an attractive piece. Regarding shipping issues: I think Wayfair is great. It sends emails upon receipt of the order, it sends emails telling you when the order will be delivered. This was delivered exactly when we were told it would be delivered, with no signs of damage to the box or product. Many reviews noted the long assembly time (I have no idea how one reviewer put this together in an hour). My husband, who has built many things from his own design, spent about three hours assembling this (needing my help only a couple of times). He did so in an empty 300-sq foot space--and he needed the space to spread out the many parts and hardware. He thought the directions were clear and my perceptions concur with his that this was a straightforward, if long-ish, assembly for someone who has been building and assembling things for decades. My perceptions are based on the fact that he only swore once and had no injuries! Overall, if you have the skills to put this together, it is a good product for a great price. It really looks nice and will be functional.

After extensive research, I’m very happy that I ultimately chose this cart to use for additional storage between my washer and dryer. It’s very sturdy, without being bulky, has nice clean lines, and the two wheels make it easy to lift slightly and roll out when needed. It went together smoothly, but I’d recommend using 2 people as there were certain steps that benefited from having an extra pair of hands. The direction booklet was easy to follow and took us about an hour from unpacking to ready to use. Even though all tools were supplied, I would suggest using an actual screwdriver instead of the small allen wrench type of screwdriver that was provided. I found that the longer the screwdriver, the easier it was to tighten the screws as tightly as necessary for the cart’s stability. I only gave this 4 stars because of some differences in the top piece on the cart I received compared to the one shown on the website. While the finish is very nice and it fit my needs just fine, the cart I received did not match the picture exactly and I felt part of the description was misleading. Based on the pictures and the written information, the cart appears to have a butcher block top that could be used to directly cut and prep food on. However, the top surface on the one I received, though very smooth and pretty, seems to be more of a finished or varnished piece of wood than an oiled butcher block type of surface. And note that on several of the website’s pictures they do show the cart with separate cutting boards displayed, maybe implying to use a different cutting board than actually cutting on the top of the cart. The consumer just needs to be aware when making their purchasing decisions that this cart’s top has more of a satiny textured 'appearance' of butcher block than an actual oiled butcher block surface. Also related to the top surface, the way that each piece of wood on the top is joined together is different on the cart I received than on the close up of the cart’s top that is pictured. The one shown has straight, clean cuts at the ends of each little block of wood, like you would expect. The one I received has pointy finger joints that connect in a tiny zigzag pattern at the ends of each small block. In my opinion, the zigzag pattern makes the quality look a bit cheap and I would have preferred the style of top shown on the website, but since I’m using mine in a laundry room, it really wasn’t as important to me as it might be to others. Again, the consumer just needs to know this before making their purchase. Overall, a very sturdy cart with a nice soft finish. And the price on Wayfair beat another popular mail order giant by over $100. Sweet deal!
