I love this table and it is gorgeous but quite literally no one could assemble it. The top is definitely more than the claimed 500lbs. My husband and I failed to assemble this as a duo so we called in the professionals to assemble. They came as a two man crew and after a failed attempt, asked my husband to help. Between the three of them they lifted it about an inch off the floor but no where near the top of the base. A man and woman came next with their smarts. They assembled the base to the top while the top was vertical and then tipped it over. Definitely took some muscle but they got it, and I love this table! We’re putting together our new dining room and this table is a hit. The only thing I don’t prefer is that one extended side is an extension of the main table top and the other side is not.
