I love this table and it is gorgeous (I think) but quite literally no one can assemble it. The top is definitely more than the claimed 500lbs. My husband and I failed to assemble this as a duo so we called in the professionals to assemble. They came as a two man crew and after a failed attempt, asked my husband to help. Between the three of them they lifted it about an inch off the floor but no where near the top of the base.
