I love this table and it is gorgeous but quite literally no one could assemble it. The top is definitely more than the claimed 500lbs. My husband and I failed to assemble this as a duo so we called in the professionals to assemble. They came as a two man crew and after a failed attempt, asked my husband to help. Between the three of them they lifted it about an inch off the floor but no where near the top of the base. A man and woman came next with their smarts. They assembled the base to the top while the top was vertical and then tipped it over. Definitely took some muscle but they got it, and I love this table! Stunning table, but requires a project to make it safe at least for me! This table looks amazing and the top is much more durable than standard tile. It does feel like tile, but it is not. However, the manufacturer’s support board stops 6 inches short of the edge. This leaves the rim vulnerable to cracking if someone leans on it to stand up. Because of this design flaw, I had to source a massive sheet of 3/4-inch plywood, get it delivered, and have it custom-cut into a perfect 58-inch circle to replace the factory piece. Aside from this installation hassle that can lead to injuries the leg is well-supported and the table is beautiful. Dimensions are spot on, definitely can fit 8, comfortably 6 chairs around..
