First, the positive comments: the table was a pleasant surprise in that it is more white than depicted in the photos. It is a sturdy table and the extension insert is easy ro put together, even though I am a senior citizen, with spine injuries. I did it myself. Many compliments were received. The negative part is that it arrived broken. The customer service was most helpful and we resolved the issue. A carpenter I hired was able to fix it and it looks ok, unless one looks closer, which of course does not happen. Overall, I would recommend it. Very sturdy and heavy table. Looks great.. Joanna. Quick and easy assembly for one person, though you will want a second person available to help you flip the table to it's upright position following assembly as it is heavy. Since the table top is actually black glass, I purchased placemats so that utensils, dishes, and laptops are not put directly on the table top to help lessen the risk of scratching.
