This 47.2” Expandable Round Dining Table is actually a really unique and versatile piece. The design allows you to flip the tabletop and change the look, which is one of the coolest features. One side gives you a warm wood round table, and the other side creates a square marble-look top, so you basically get two styles in one depending on the vibe you want in the room. First thing to know is that this table is very heavy and substantial. Once it’s assembled it feels sturdy and solid, not flimsy at all. The pedestal base has a nice architectural V-style design that gives it a modern vintage feel and makes it look more expensive than it is. Assembly took several hours and it definitely wasn’t quick. There are a lot of parts and steps, so I’d recommend patience or having someone help. Once everything is together though, the table feels strong and stable. The expandable/flip-top design is clever and great for flexibility. It comfortably seats 4 people and can stretch to 6 when square, which makes it nice for small dining areas that occasionally need more seating. My main reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the seams and visible holes in the center of the tabletop design. Because of the way the panels connect, there are seams and small holes in the middle that are noticeable. It pretty much requires putting a centerpiece, tray, or decor in the middle to hide it. Not a huge issue for staging or styling, but worth mentioning. Overall, it’s a beautiful and versatile table with a clever design. It’s heavy, sturdy, and visually striking once assembled. Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. Quite the nice table. I got the unfinished so I could stain the color sine I can never tell if the color will be right when ordering online plus I wanted a dark base and a light top. I was happy to see that the top does not have those zig zag joints that are often popular with rubber wood. The grain is nice and the pieces of wood have a good color match. The table is sturdy and well made. Look up the directions from this web site for the assembly of base to top. This table is just what we needed. Set up was not too confusing, and the look is what we wanted. It’ll fit 4 for an intimate dinner. We love its resting size. It is not too large, but boasts a large enough surface on top when all folded for a nice looking entry-way table. It is a little wobbly, but at this price point we cannot be bothered to care. Also, it is the opposite of smudge resistant. Touch this thing with greasy fingers and everyone will know you were cooking bacon. I’m very happy with this!! I got this table in all white. It's well built and sturdy. The size is exactly what I needed, and I only have to use one of the leaves. At 80 years old and having arthritis, I was not able to assemble it. However, the man who did, said all the parts were there, everything fit and it was easy to put together.
