This island is beautiful and great quality at a decent price. Is just what i needed for my studio apartment and provides me extra storage and counter space. Instructions were overall clear. Was not difficult to build but it did take me about 6 hours to put together because I did it alone. Would have been much easier if I had another pair of hands helping. This is a great bar cabinet for the price. I wanted something that would go with our kitchen and it was hard to find exactly what I wanted. Either there is a super industrial look, or the other bars are really expensive. I surprised my husband with this and set it up all by myself, that said, it took me 3 hours (breaks in between) to get it all assembled. I purchased the black with white faux marble and up close the color is not solid black. It's more brown hues with black. Once it is all assembled you don't notice the brown and it does look more black. I do wish the space between the marble and the first shelf was a little higher so I could have fit my coffee maker in there but not a deal breaker. It still looks great and my husband really likes it so it works for us. I also purchased a liquor display shelf that lights up and added it to the top shelf. We got the off white color and it compliments our home colors perfectly. Me and my wife took about an hour to build it, pretty straight forward. The quality is pretty good, does not feel cheap. This bar cabinet can hold A LOT of bottle, glasses and accessories and much much more. Check my photos out, in my photos, I did not ouch the bottles all the way back because I wanted to make it easy for me to grab them, but each shelf can hold about 10-12 spirit bottle, maybe a little more depending how big each bottle is. Nice quality piece of furniture. The granite top looks darker online, but like another customer stated, could be just the differences in the natural granite. Mine was more of a light cream colored. I purchased the kitchen island in the European Cherry, and it smells like it was just stained prior to it being shipped. It is beautiful and worth every penny! I am using it as a coffee station. What you don't see in these pictures, because I have this up against a wall, is that there is another set of cabinet doors on the other side so that you can get to the cabinet on either side of this kitchen island. I’ve built a lot of furniture, and this particular piece is a bit wobbly, though it does seem strong enough to hold my entire bottle collection. The holes for the wine glass rack seem to be drilled in the wrong spot, so that the door mounted bottle rack bumps into your wine glasses when shutting the door.
