The table is a beautiful color and is sturdy with a timeless style. We paired ours with some countertop height swivel barstools also found on Wayfair and the entire setup is so comfortable and fun to sit at for meals or casual hangouts. All of our cedar log furniture is crafted using northern white cedar. We harvest our cedar locally from its Minnesota location. We even operate our cedar sawmill that produces lumber for our furniture! Northern white cedar is extremely light and quite soft but boasts excellent decay resistance and strength despite these characteristics. For heavily used surfaces, we also offer an optional liquid glass finish to increase its lifespan. Liquid glass finish provides a high gloss sheen, this upgrade finish is made from a two-part epoxy. Equivalent to 50 coats of polyurethane, the finish is tough, yet flexible and not prone to shattering from impact.

This dining table is constructed of White Cedar solids and veneers, featuring two 20" Self-Storing Extensions, 116" Width with Extensions and Hand-Planing on Top. It is offered in many different finishes.

The Palmer Mink collection is a unique assortment of richly grained teak tables with a sandblasted, mink finish. Each piece of the collection is carefully designed with updated silhouettes that embody subtle refinement. The extension dining table is equipped with a self-storing, butterfly leaf mechanism that allows for convenient entertaining.

The table is very cool. The color is like a med to light brown with a greyish cast. The surface is rough but shows off the character of the wood. It seems to have some kind of protective finish on it, but I'm not sure. It opens easily to lift up the leaf to extend it and can be done by yourself. You could easily sit 10 people, maybe 12 if you're friendly with your guests. Unfortunately the first table arrive broken, but Wayfair's awesome customer support had a new one delivered within a couple of weeks. I gave it four stars because the hinges that are used on the leaf which are super heavy, are not very strong and cause a bit of wear on the surface of the leaf. My contractor replaced the hinges with ones that won't wiggle, much better! Also be aware that the pedestal will not allow a chair to be pushed under the table very far.
