This table is awesome, it does not come with an extension so stays the same size always. I love that it has the piece under the table to put things on. Its the perfect height, length and width. It does have a little gap but nothing to bad. This is a replacement table the first one came with the corner messed up up from shipping. I contacted wayfair and they went above and beyond to get me one thats not damaged. They also told me I could keep the damaged product or donate or give it away, and thats exactly what i did, a family who didnt have a table said they didnt mind the corner damage and would be happy to just have a table in there home. This is a really nice and sturdy extendable dining table. It was pretty easy to put together it took about 1 hour for me and my husband to put it together. The directions were pretty straightforward and easy to follow. The table looks exactly as pictured I like that it can extend but we are going to mainly use it without it being extended.
