This 47.2” Expandable Round Dining Table is actually a really unique and versatile piece. The design allows you to flip the tabletop and change the look, which is one of the coolest features. One side gives you a warm wood round table, and the other side creates a square marble-look top, so you basically get two styles in one depending on the vibe you want in the room. First thing to know is that this table is very heavy and substantial. Once it’s assembled it feels sturdy and solid, not flimsy at all. The pedestal base has a nice architectural V-style design that gives it a modern vintage feel and makes it look more expensive than it is. Assembly took several hours and it definitely wasn’t quick. There are a lot of parts and steps, so I’d recommend patience or having someone help. Once everything is together though, the table feels strong and stable. The expandable/flip-top design is clever and great for flexibility. It comfortably seats 4 people and can stretch to 6 when square, which makes it nice for small dining areas that occasionally need more seating. My main reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the seams and visible holes in the center of the tabletop design. Because of the way the panels connect, there are seams and small holes in the middle that are noticeable. It pretty much requires putting a centerpiece, tray, or decor in the middle to hide it. Not a huge issue for staging or styling, but worth mentioning. Overall, it’s a beautiful and versatile table with a clever design. It’s heavy, sturdy, and visually striking once assembled. It is MDF..A step above cardboard. There are gaps in the pieces of the table where its joined together. Like when you see a leaf in the middle. And the base of the table keeps you from your legs going anywhere as they will be hitting the base. It looks good. But you can tell its MDF and not wood.. But I used high end chairs and it looks amazing but I know this table, won't last long. It was easy to put together. And if you want a nice looking table for a good price just get it. Had this table for a year now held up well. I needed a table slightly more narrow and shorter than average. I also liked that this table had four legs in the corner. It allows us to have 4 chairs (one on each side) as our normal set up and to be able to add a second chair on each side (to seat 6) when necessary. It is small so when sitting at the table for dinner there is enough room for all parties to have their place setting in front of them but very little room left to fit bowls or serving dishes for dinner. In my case this is a happy trade off to get the dimensions that fit my room best. - Just watch what you clean the table with. My husband was being 'helpful' and used a green scrubby to get some stuck on food and it scratched up the surface pretty good. A warm soapy wash cloth is best.. Anonymous. Mon Jun 15 2026
