I had very specific criteria I was looking for in an everyday table. I wanted a pedestal base, an oval or round top with a leaf, cream/off-white with a dark wood top. it either had to match my existing chairs or have chairs without fabric. I also had a budget in mind. I know I'm extremely picky. I have been looking on and off for the right table for almost 4 years. Even after I order the table I texted my husband and said I'm probably going to hate it. I ordered it on a Thursday and it arrived unexpectedly early on Saturday morning and we put it together easily. 2 bolts per foot and 4 bolts for the top. nothing was damaged in shipping and the table is an almost perfect match to the existing pieces in the room. The base is a little more on the white/gray side then cream but in the shade of the table its not noticeable. We will most likely always have the leaf in but the mechanism worked fine and everything fit together well and it feels sturdy. That also had a minor paint issue and the hinges to extend the table did not work 100 I eventually worked out a compromise with wayfair because I was not confident a 3rd table wouldnt also be damaged and I was really attached to the length of the table because I have a large dining area. Assembly couldn’t have been much easier—just attach the legs with the included Allen wrench and it’s ready to go. The table feels very solid and has a nice, substantial weight to it. I also love how long it is, making it great for larger family dinners. My only minor complaint is that the wood grain on the extension leaves is noticeably different from the rest of the tabletop. Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. It’s been a few days and so far everything is good, especially with having younger children. I would’ve gave it 5 stars but there’s 2 spots that look like cup stains but it’s spots that were missed during the woodmaterial treatment. It was simple to put together w one person but two would be better more so when it’s time to attach the legs and flip it over on the correct side. I don’t know how I did it by myself but I managed without damaging the table. Overall I’m in love and I can’t wait to host dinner with all my family being able to be seated at one table.. N.
