Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. I had very specific criteria I was looking for in an everyday table. I wanted a pedestal base, an oval or round top with a leaf, cream/off-white with a dark wood top. it either had to match my existing chairs or have chairs without fabric. I also had a budget in mind. I know I'm extremely picky. I have been looking on and off for the right table for almost 4 years. Even after I order the table I texted my husband and said I'm probably going to hate it. I ordered it on a Thursday and it arrived unexpectedly early on Saturday morning and we put it together easily. 2 bolts per foot and 4 bolts for the top. nothing was damaged in shipping and the table is an almost perfect match to the existing pieces in the room. The base is a little more on the white/gray side then cream but in the shade of the table its not noticeable. We will most likely always have the leaf in but the mechanism worked fine and everything fit together well and it feels sturdy. The assembly of this table was quick and able to be done with one person. The nicest feature is that the table can be extended should more people be in the office, otherwise great for a small space and in this case break room.
