Great tub but a couple of things I did not expect. First thing was I underestimated the weight of the tub. It's a lot heavier than it looks. If it needs to go up have some heavy equipment to assist you and the second thing was the amount of electricity it used in the winter. my electric bill went up $80-$100 a month. I enjoy soaking and using the jets after a long day working on the yard. I sometimes use it with the water temp on the cooler side to be refreshing on hot days. The cover has not held up. I had some buyers remorse after I purchased this and read some additional reviews about how it had trouble heating up. I didn't realize it didn't use a standard electric spa heater. When I saw "Friction Heating" I thought that was in addition to normal electric heating and was a motor heat recovery unit and an energy saving feature. This was very new to me as the last time I bought a spa was 30 years ago. After installing and using it for going on 4 months, I must say I am impressed with the function and performance so far. It does take around 24 hours to get to from 75 to 100 degrees but once it got there it maintains the set temperature very well. Some of the reviews mentioned that it had a hard time heating in cold weather and maybe that is true for them but here in Florida I haven't had any problems even during some of the 30 degree cold fronts we had. The spa shell is very solid and seems durable. It has decent number of jets and water movement and we are really enjoying this spa. Now for my observations on what could be better. As some of the other reviews have mentioned the outer shell is very thin vinyl panels. Not a problem so far but they are pretty flimsy and hurricane force winds might cause them to buckle. The pump and control access panel is this same vinyl material and it is held in place by screws so to access anything you have to unscrew it rather than via a hinged door access like most spas. The single speed pump works fine but it would be nice to be able to add a little more massage power to the jets. A two speed pump would be preferable. Lastly, the instruction manual should be specific to a single spa model and not cover multiple models where some of the functions and features aren't pertinent to the one you are working with. Would I recommend this spa? For the solid inner shell, user friendly controls, and the included accessories, in this price range, all delivered free to your home in less than a week? I am so excited about this portable 4 to 6 person inflatable hot tub. I have never seen anything like this before nor did I know it even existed. I love how this kit comes with everything you need including the heavy duty ground cover and top cover. It is legit on functionality thats for sure! The ground tarp could be a little bit thicker as it might not last too long, the pump to inflate the hot tub was already attached once removed from the box. We plugged it in and it inflated in a matter of seconds! And it shut off all on its own when it detected it was fully inflated. The pump also activates the air bubbler once the water is in. 4 to 6 people is probably not accurate, more like three would be comfortable. It does come with a heavy duty cover which snap connects to the side connections of the hot tub coming about 6 in over the top, not fully covering the pump and LCD screen so it could get ruined in wet weather. Other reviewers mentioned that it was a white cover and seemed like an afterthought, I do not feel the same way as it is a gray color and has purposeful snapping mechanisms to accommodate the hot tub--I feel very reasonably. The LCD screen is large and straightforward however the lighting could be a little bit brighter. We love this portable hot tub and surely want to take care of it, so once our pool house is built, it will serve its purpose in an enclosed area. Because we live in the desert and have high winds, we do not want that and or the Nevada Sun ruining this hot tub, so for us setting it up and taking it down is not an option right now, but again it will have a permanent place in our pool house hopefully next year. It also comes with a nice heavy duty bag to put it back in once you take it down and either want to move location or store it. I love that you can have something so nice without the cost associated with a new one, not to mention how permanent they are while this one is portable and conveniently able to be set up, removed, or placed in a new location.
