Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. First problem was that a couple of the pieces were broken upon arrival. However, customer service was super responsive and shipped us new parts within a week. Next, the instructions are very confusing, especially if you wish to assemble this table with the long side facing left. However, after all is said and done, the table looks great and the quality is superb once all of the pieces are put together correctly. Setup was done by 2 people at most times, as mentioned, there were points of confusion. When the pieces were found to be broken, we couldnt resume until the pieces were shipped to us, which had been quick. After having this nook for a month, it works really well - we use it everyday for breakfast, and dinner. The cushions are comfy enough for eating, and the bench is a nice addition for when there is not enough room on the main bench. You can fit about 4-5 people with this nook, depending on how big people are. One thing that I wish was a bit better was the sturdiness of the table, as it can move if you push it a tiny bit. So happy with this table! I put it together by myself in just over an hour, but the table top is very heavy, so some may need help lifting it onto the base. One thing to note- there’s no built in storage for the extensions- my last extendable dining table had that so I was a little surprised even though it would be nearly impossible with the shape. This small dining table is the perfect size for two and our compact kitchen dining area. It looks decent and doesn’t feel cheap, just appropriate for the price. Assembly only took 20 mins for 2 people, although we did have to put some effort into screwing in parts 4, as they were difficult to fit properly. We were also unable to install parts 7, it seemed like they didn’t quite reach the pre-drilled holes even with the bolts. In the end, we decided not to use them, and the table still feels stable and sturdy. The color is more neutral in natural daylight and slightly more yellow under warm indoor lighting.
