This door beautifully serves the need I had to separate a den from the dining room to provide overnight guests more privacy. It has a nice finish and is solid enough to provide a bit of sound deadening between the two rooms. My installer did note the lack of a dado cut in the door for the track, so he didn’t notice that a particular end should have been “up” - so I think he mounted it upside down (the door’s cross panel is about 5” deep on one end and 7” on the other). Not a big enough deal visually for me to have the door re-mounted, but an indicator for which end was intended to be the top of the door would have been nice. The door doesn’t come with handles but I was able to find finger flush-mount and loop handles that worked beautifully. The door is made solid enough to screw handles into it.. Caryn. Seattle, WA. I am excited about the clean lines and fitted appearance this door provides! Previously had a barn door & track on this door opening and this new door fits much closer to the actual door opening. Plus, the entire rolling mechanism is concealed inside of the track which is recessed inside the back of the door. This also means that it fits much closer to the wall, giving it a cleaner appearance. As you can see from photos, we did remove some wood trim so the door could fit tight to the wall. So there are wall repairs in my future, but I am ok with that. Also still need to install the GORGEOUS long black metal handle provided with door, but I am waiting to paint first. The door comes with a painted flat white finish. I am painting walls & door the same color, so it will really blend into the background. I love this little door, but I was going for a kitschy look in my space. This door material is like a very thick shower curtain and the handle doesn’t look amazing. Also there will be gaps in the top where the track is and the sides do not mount completely flush. You can see shadows through it slightly with the right lighting.
