Package arrived, and it was a miracle none of the pieces fell out. My hat is off to the delivery driver, who must have worked hard to deliver all together. I just completed the staining using coffee which gave it a beautiful golden brown color, the wood took it well and I was pleased with the quality of the wood and frosted glass. I then added a couple of coats of tung oil which I do not recommend. I sanded it down and stained it again, but this time applied one coat of satin varnish and wow, turned out beautiful!!. Debra. This is a very very heavy door, which is perfect for a barn door, but not a one person job. My biggest issue is that the last two pieces of glass I had to saw out the wood as they would not slide into the grooves. I even tried to swap them out with other pieces. It was very time-consuming and ruined part of the track that took the glass slides into, but it was the only way to get the door fully together. It is otherwise a very nice addition to our home.. Wait….this is actually AWESOME!! I didn’t realize only one side had the mirrors and the other side had a film. This is great because now I can put the mirror side facing inside the bathroom to make the room appear larger since it’s tiny, and the film side facing the bedroom to give the bathroom a luxurious privacy vibe. This product is very solid and great quality of materials. It came on time and was easy to assembly. Only thing that surprised me was the weight. It is very heavy and the hardware including the rail is heavy and solid. Instructions for assembling the door are easy to follow. It took longer to install a header board and the rails then to assemble the door and hang it. I love the quality and its moves very smoothly. I ordered the 48 x 84. This accordion door was really easy to install, and most importantly, it does exactly what I bought it for blocks off the entrance to my laundry room. Mission accomplished. Now, is it giving custom cabinetry No. Is it giving luxury renovation Absolutely not. Is it vinyl accordion door doing its little vinyl accordion door job YES. Up close, you can definitely tell it’s vinyl, so if you’re expecting something that looks like a 900 custom wood door, please adjust your expectations accordingly. But for the price, I really can’t complain. It opens, it closes, it hides my washer, dryer, laundry detergent, and whatever other foolishness is happening back there. Installation was surprisingly painless, it fits the space well, and it actually looks pretty decent once it’s closed. Bottom line It’s not fancy, but neither is the laundry room it’s guarding.
