My damaged awning needed to be replaced and I wanted to replace it with something more modernistic. After an exhaustive search, I chose this Advaning polycarbonate clear-top awning for many reasons: 1) I liked that it can hold up to 550-lbs of snow, since we get a lot of snow here. 2) The clear top is awesome because when the floodlight is on at night, I can clearly see the lock to unlock my door (versus my old awning that had a solid top, thus blocking all the light) 3) The aesthetics is amazing - looks 1,000 times better than my old one (see picture of old and new awning side-by-side below), 4) The curved lip at the end is super handy because it forces rain to either side. My old awning went straight down, meaning I had to walk through a waterfall every time it rained. 5) decorative lag bolt covers were included to give it that finishing touch. I'm super happy with this awning!. Michael. Lewiston, ME. Wed Jun 05 2024

With a tough frame, this patio awning is great for providing shade. The reinforced frame and polyester fabrics make the awning superior in material and excellent in workmanship. It can be easily mounted on the wall with the included accessories. Our awning will create a nice and cool place on your patio and protect you from the UV rays. Use caution when installing stucco exteriors. Proper installation is the responsibility of the buyer. Not intended for use on recreational vehicles (RVs).

This is my second awning; my other one lasted 7 years. It really does the trick! Takes a while to put together and you definitely need two people to hang. Well worth the price!. Kristina. Rochester, NY. Wed Aug 19 2026

The strong, steel support arms and anodized aluminum front and back trims of the Aquila 1500 are sleek and stylish. Modern, high end materials are neutral enough to match any home décor. The Aquila doesn’t require any special tools for setup and the smart and fast locking system will have your door cover up in no time. Keep your home entrance dry and protected from the elements in every season. The 100% UV protected 4mm acrylic panel allows light through but filters UV rays that can make your door fade and peel. An integrated front gutter directs rainwater off to the sides. When mounting the awning on lap siding or anchoring to wall studs, an Aquila 1500 siding kit, (sold separately), is recommended.

This awning is the first choice of most homeowners who choose a manually-operated model because for just low cost it extends out from your house giving you up more square feet of coverage and protection This model requires no electricity.

Pros Great product for the price! It has held up very well in the CA sun over the past few months. Cons It stains easily and it was so terrible to put together (terrible instructions, lots of pieces). If I had to do it again, would have three people to hang it.. Jeannie. Los Angeles, CA. Advaning's PN series of crystal-clear polycarbonate awnings add a touch of classic styling to your exteriors while providing superior protection from rain, snow, and harmful UV rays. This unobtrusive awning features a virtually unbreakable crystal-clear solid sheet of polycarbonate, unlike competitors which offer low-grade hollow sheets that are commonly made of a variety of recycled plastics resulting in a weak, unsightly hollow sheet. Advaning's PN series is available in two bracket color options (black or white) to best fit your outdoor color scheme or building exterior. The brackets are made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon, which has been proven to withstand not only high weight stresses but also the test of prolonged exposure to the sun heat and UV rays, resulting in a superior long-lasting product. The PN series is also connectable in that it allows users to join multiple units seamlessly for custom coverage of wider lengths. Advancing takes pride in its product lines, ensuring that customers obtain the best possible experience with their products, from design and sourcing to availability and outstanding service. They consider every aspect of the buying experience and provide detailed user guides and installation videos to facilitate an installation.

Outsmart the weather with patio awnings. This awning delivers the perfect amount of shade for your patio or balcony and efficiently protects your home or business from sun damage or light rain. Built with a sleek black frame, this modern design shows less dirt and debris than more common white frames. The fabric offers up to 119 square feet of coverage depending on the chosen size and is made from 100% polyester to best protect you from the elements and keep the inside of your home cool on hot days. Included is a simple hand crank that opens or closes the awning within a minute, and requires no electricity. Assembly is required. One-Year Warranty included.

I absolutely love this awning. It’s exactly what I was looking for. It is very well priced and looks very pretty. Sorry for the delayed review, but I did need to hire someone to install it. The assembly and install were a little challenging, even for a master electrician. It wasn't the level of difficulty but rather very vague instructions and more than one incorrect picture. However, we prevailed. Warning: DO NOT remove the tape and zip ties from the arms of the hardware. They are spring-loaded and should not be released until the awning has been hung. Otherwise, it'll be like trying to put a cat in a bucket of water. (we were smart about this) To assemble, have a helper on standby to pull the awning through the roller channel while someone else pushes it. A kid can help with this part. One person can assemble the main hardware. To install the brackets to the home, one person is fine as long as they have the correct drill bits and measure correctly. The brackets are great quality; however, they may not sit flush and level to the wall. We placed 2x2 blocks of wood behind each bracket to fill the empty space and make the install strong and level. To install the awning, you'll want a strong teen or adult to assist. They will need to hold one side of the awning and the hardware while standing on a ladder, as both people insert the hardware into the brackets on the structure.. Anonymous. Fri Aug 28 2026

I recently had siding put on my home. My contractor sort of refused to put my old awnings back on the house - rightfully so - would have been awful! So, I started searching for suitable choices. Many were negated because they wouldn't have mounted to the siding correctly. Then I found this (and a larger one for my front door but got that one elsewhere as Wayfair didn't have that size) and realized that a mounting kit could be purchased for vinyl siding! Hooray! It's gorgeous - so minimalistic and really matches the house. It hasn't rained yet so I don't know how well it will shield but at least it looks pretty. My contractor said it was fairly easy for him and his helper to install. I recommend this - so far!. Kristen. West Warwick, RI. Tue Mar 11 2025
