It is very nice and more sturdy that I thought it would be. We didn’t bolt it to the deck because we didn’t want to drill into Trex. But we did bolt it to the house which worked good. The instructions are a little confusing in some parts because the pictures are tiny. And after I sliced my finger pretty good on the metal roof, I understood why they give you gloves. Razor sharp. I’m very pleased with this purchase as was my final big purchase and project in my garden renovation. The build was fairly straightforward and took about 7 hours to complete with 2 teens and myself. The only issue we encountered was that several pre drilled holes for the top lattices were a bit off center. However we were able to correct. Dented pieces, some of the slat holders were not attached and not an easy fix. Some parts sent for the wood grain item which we didn't order. Inspect all pieces in all 7 boxes right away. I purchased a 10 foot and an 8‘ x 10 pergola. We put them side-by-side and we have created a beautiful area which will be a setting area and a hot tub area. Sturdy and well made, instructions were fairly clear and with a one man assembly expect an all day project, but with 2 people who are fairly handy should be a breeze.
