Victorian Handcrafted tiffany style pendant light, Stained glass dining room light lampshade is slight heavy than you expected, as it is made of real stained glass. But when you knock it, it sounds like plastic. That's why? Because of its special manufacturing process. Each glass piece is cut by hand, then polish the edge before wrapping the copper foil. The edges of the glass pieces are wrapped with adhesive copper tape (copper foil). Then putted together in a mould according to the pattern. At last, using soldering material to weld each glass at a very high temperature. The Stained glass is Much Heavy than Plastic, and couldn't been burned, normal knife couldn't cut them. They are lovely in person. I love love love the deep tones of the brushed gold hardware on them. It is not shown in the photos but the top piece matches the rod and it's all very high end looking. These are not lightweight and cheap, they are heavy and stylish. I think the cream color with the crackle finish gives them a nice interesting look without committing to a metallic for the whole pendant and also without being plain glass or plain white. We ordered 3 of these lights. When they arrived 2of the 3 lights were damaged. I immediately started the replacement process and waited to review to see how it worked since I have not had this issue before. I took pictures of the 2 damaged light and the e boxes they came in and submitted. I received an almost immediate response of when new ones would ship and waited.
