Victorian Handcrafted tiffany style pendant light, Stained glass dining room light lampshade is slight heavy than you expected, as it is made of real stained glass. But when you knock it, it sounds like plastic. That's why? Because of its special manufacturing process. Each glass piece is cut by hand, then polish the edge before wrapping the copper foil. The edges of the glass pieces are wrapped with adhesive copper tape (copper foil). Then putted together in a mould according to the pattern. At last, using soldering material to weld each glass at a very high temperature. The Stained glass is Much Heavy than Plastic, and couldn't been burned, normal knife couldn't cut them. Easy to Check it.

it's a beautiful pendent. My table is 30" from floor to table top, and the fixture was hung from 8' ceiling using the 6" and 12" tube. Also the fixture is 34" from the tabletop. My only negative is that the glass did not sit level and no bumpers are included. I had to go to the hardware store and buy some transparent plastic bumpers. I put it on just on side of the glass and it was leveled, I thought that placing bumpers all around would hold it, but the glass is just too heavy and tilts after a few mintues. If you look a the image, and zoom in, you'll see the rectangular bumper (1.0" x 0.5") on the right side of the stem where the glass touches the metal. It is disappointing that there is no leveling method included, so just be aware. Minus one star, otherwise it's awesome... (NOTE: I have it on a dimmer, so the pendant gets really bright, but I dimmed the switch so that more detail came out in the image. Very nice. It is a little more rustic than expected due to the finish. It is more of a splotchy aging rather than a consistent finish. Looks like it has weathered.
