This piece is unbelievably beautiful. The shade is like a little piece of artwork. I included a picture of the original shade that came with my house so that you can see the size difference. Everything was already threaded the only thing that I think could be a problem is if you wanted to shorten the length of the pendant light, you have to thread everything to take out the centerpiece of the post. But it is this beautiful, nickel finish that looks both silver and gold in the light And this beautiful hombre and crackle finish to the lampshade itself. We ordered 3 of these lights. When they arrived 2of the 3 lights were damaged. I immediately started the replacement process and waited to review to see how it worked since I have not had this issue before. I took pictures of the 2 damaged light and the e boxes they came in and submitted. I received an almost immediate response of when new ones would ship and waited. This is so beautifully made! Excellent quality. The only concern I had was momentary when we were trying to fit the milk glass into the gold part. It was a snug fit and caused some very small chipped glass around the opening, but it’s completely covered when assembled. We removed and put the glass back a couple of times to ensure it wouldn’t continue to cause chipping if we had to remove it to replace the lightbulb, and we realized that after initially pushing it in the first time it goes in easily after that..
