It looks so great in my guest bedroom. I needed something that was compact since its a small room and not used often for guest, but mainly for me to craft in. All in all it took me about 4 hours to put together by myself. All the parts were there. With a few extra that had me second guessing if I put it to together correctly. Its pretty simple and the picture instructions do help. The storage drawer is nice to hold blankets and pillows. I bought a 6 memory foam mattress. Once folded up and the doors closed it looks like there is a few extra inches to maybe fit a bigger one Not entirely sure. Definitely a gamble to take if you decide to go bigger. Instructions could be a little more clear. It’s all pictures and some of them are tiny and not so easy to decipher. Something to think about when considering whether to pay the $86 for someone to come assemble it for you. The drawers slide gently and align perfectly. They are lined inside with the sturdy pressed wood material and reinforced on the bottom to hold weight. They aren’t wire cages as I have seen in other drawer beds. 5 stars for the bed but unfortunately, the experience took much longer than it should have. Our first delivery arrived incomplete, with only two pieces of wood—more than half of the bed was missing. We had to return it, and a full replacement shipment was sent, which delayed everything, including our assembly (which, of course, we still had to pay for). The new shipment did arrive with all the parts, but we also noticed some chipping and damage on the side. At that point, we decided to keep it because we were tired of going back and forth. This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I used a soft upholstry fabric and also laid batting on the broad surfaces. The mechanism works great and does not shut unless you pull it down. I do love the bed. One suggestion: I tried to get the shipping date changed before I even placed the order. You cannot change it online. So I called and was told by an associate that it could be done. It was a difficult process and in the end, the bed was delivered on the original date!
