I have had other similar beds where the drawers are made of plastic. I am glad that I paid someone to install it because it took a pro more than an hour. I'm very happy with this bed. It slides away and unfolds very easily. It took a long time to put together, but the instructions were very clear and every piece lined up perfectly. It looks great in my room. I also bought a 6" folding mattress to go in it. I haven't tried to put it away in the cabinet yet, but when I measure, there appears to be plenty of room for it.. Linda. Decent bed. Feels sturdy enough I was able to put it together alone, but it took about 8 hours going at a slow pace with lots of breaks. Get a kneepad if you have one. Be sure to look at both sides of each piece immediately after you attach to make sure you have the right orientation. I found a backwards one twice and it was a considerable setback. The directions could be confusing at times, generally just sitting and staring at the parts for a bit or looking ahead to next few steps would made it clear. I'm giving it a 4 star review be use a received 3 unlabeled parts, luckily I could narrow them down. And because the pull out shelfs cannot be wheeled out , at least if you have carpet, and are a very tight fit. Photo attached shows why. The bottom of the shelf sides touches the ground and makes the wheels pointless. I will likely use them in the closet instead. The storage drawers are a little awkward to use. I struggle get the hook lined up and set in the slot to close them. Do not recommend if you have a bad back or mobility issues. The light is great if you like a bit of a night light.. M. Madison, WI. Came in one box very quickly and everything was packed in the storage compartment at the bottom of the bed...The bed is pretty straightforward to put together - took me by myself about 1 hour total and its pretty solid and sturdy. My son loves that metal/faux leather/wood look and its nice to have outlets and space for phone etc at the top of the bed and storage at the bottom. I read reviews and was pretty intimidated when I started building, but everything went well. I had all of the correct parts, and I found the directions clear.
