I purchased the queen-size version and also paid for a person through Wayfair to bring the box upstairs and install it. I have slept on the bed for 3 weeks and so far the bed exceeds my expectations. It is beautiful and feels heavy and stable. It does not squeak or move around. I placed the bed on the carpet and the drawers still move in and out easily. Drawers are made of solid wood. I have had other similar beds where the drawers are made of plastic. I am glad that I paid someone to install it because it took a pro more than an hour. Bed quite sturdy. Took me a couple hours to put together. Being all metal, it went together easily. I thought I was going to have to screw in each individual mattress support but they simply slip into a snug fitting. The bed is lower than my previous bed since it does not require a box spring but it supports my mattress well and does not make any structural sound. No wobble or noise comes from the bed when I lie down. I thought I'd might be able to use my box spring but it would have been too high and covered up the headboard shelf. The shelf outlet works well but the self adhesive strip light is already falling. I'll have to secure it again. The lower drawers are lightweight but put together nicely and slide easily under the bed. Probably too easily.. oh, there is no backboard for the shelf area so be careful when placing item on it. This is a great bed, easy to build, sturdy, and the color is lovely. Our youngest loves his new big boy bed. We love all the storage for a small room. We also appreciate the drawers being on casters so that it’s easy to move them out to vacuum under the bed. I have a few minor gripes: figuring out the placement of the slats was awkward (it has improved from an earlier version of a similar bed, where each slat had to be screwed in; this one is easier). It would help to have guide marks on the frame as to where the slats should go. When the bed is finished, screws on the headboard are visible above the pillow. I don’t know why they’re not facing the back of the headboard. Lastly, I wish there were a cover for the drawers so that the things stored inside don’t get easily dusty.
