We love our Murphy Bed! My husband and I put it together which took about 4 hrs. We recommend having two people to assemble it. I liked putting it together and the directions were easy to follow too. The reason I did 4 stars out of 5 is because there was a scratch crack in one of the major pieces and we were already halfway done with putting it together and needed it the next day, so we werent about to take it apart to order another. Also, one of the screw holes broke on the locking piston upon screwing one of the screws in and we didnt even screw it in that hard. The only thing I thought could use some improvement would be with the hinges where a mattress lay. I am a seasoned furniture assembler and was prepared for some frustration based on other people’s comments, but this was one of the easiest assemblies I have ever done! Yes, it takes a long time to build by yourself, but the instructions were excellent and all the parts were properly labeled, and all the screw holes lined up beautifully! I only cussed once when I realized I didn’t have the tiny screw holes facing the back on the very top shelf of the headboard. But that was a simple fix of just flipping it around, no biggie. The LED lights are a nice touch, not so sure about the flashing modes, but I suppose if you are listening to music it might be fun. The drawer assembly is more sturdy than others I have put together and the wheels roll smoothly. Decent sized drawers for storage, but not huge. I was worried about the cabinet mechanism being a little iffy, but it has very strong springs that seem to work nicely. Nice storage area inside and easily accessible. I am extremely happy with this bed frame! It arrived well-packaged and all of the parts were clearly labeled, which made assembly much easier than I expected. While it did take some time to put together, the instructions were straightforward and everything fit together properly. The storage drawers are one of my favorite features. They slide smoothly and provide a surprising amount of extra storage space for blankets, sheets, seasonal clothing, and other items that would normally clutter up a bedroom. The built-in headboard shelving is also incredibly convenient for keeping everyday essentials within reach. The LED lighting adds a nice modern touch and creates a cozy atmosphere in the room, especially in the evenings. I also love the built-in charging station, which helps keep cords organized and makes charging devices overnight much more convenient. I do love the bed. One suggestion: I tried to get the shipping date changed before I even placed the order. You cannot change it online. So I called and was told by an associate that it could be done. It was a difficult process and in the end, the bed was delivered on the original date!
