I recently had siding put on my home. My contractor sort of refused to put my old awnings back on the house - rightfully so - would have been awful! So, I started searching for suitable choices. Many were negated because they wouldn't have mounted to the siding correctly. Then I found this (and a larger one for my front door but got that one elsewhere as Wayfair didn't have that size) and realized that a mounting kit could be purchased for vinyl siding! Hooray! This standard motorized patio retractable awning includes a pre-installed white powder-coated aluminum protective hood. The awning is heavy-duty, fully assembled, DIY, and hand-crafted. Its manual operation consists of a pre-installed gear (standard left-side crank). Its left motor operation includes a remote control, a pre-installed motor with a 12 ft long black cord (110V outlet), and a manual override loop. Its right motor operation includes a remote control, a pre-installed motor with a 12 ft long black cord (110V outlet), and a manual override loop. And a 5-long crank handle/rocker arm to manually extend and retract the awning. The beautiful framework is made out of rust-resistant, powder-coated, commercial-grade, steel, and aluminum.
