We got the Mocha finish. Slightly lighted in person than pictured, but solid quality. No veneers or particle board here! Easy to put together. Took 2 people 30 mins with a few power tools. So the piece arrived in a pretty beat up box. Most of the pieces are still in great shape (I’ve noticed one small scratch), but it’s missing all of the hardware. So either the hardware fell out in transport or they never sent it. I haven’t been able to put the bed together. That said pieces look good and the instructions seem decent. I’m hoping to get new parts from the company because I think it could be a nice piece of furniture but for now I don’t recommend this item. I think I could go buy the items from the hardware store but that seems more expensive and not super easy. Update I received the hardware in the mail after talking to Wayfair. The bed took an hour to assemble with two people. It’s pretty sturdy. If I’m being nitpicky about it I wish the pattern on the headboard lined up perfectly but overall I’m happy. I absolutely love this bed! It was easy to assemble, although it does take some time, especially if you’re putting it together by yourself. I really like the dark walnut color because it’s not too light or too dark, so it works beautifully with different styles of decor. I haven’t installed the drawers yet, and the bed still looks great without them, so in my opinion, the drawers can be optional depending on your needs. Another big plus is that you definitely do not need a box spring. The bed is also high enough to easily clean the floor underneath, which is very convenient. I’m very happy with this bed frame and honestly impressed by the quality. It really is made from solid wood, with some finger-jointed pieces, and everything feels substantial and well built. The design is especially attractive, taking its inspiration from modern architectural craftsmanship. The handcrafted-looking geometric herringbone inlay adds a beautiful visual detail, while the dark walnut finish, solid hardwood, and natural wood veneers give the bed a warm, sophisticated appearance. The packaging was excellent. Everything arrived in one box and was very well protected, with no scratches, dents, damaged parts, or shipping issues. Once assembled, the frame feels extremely sturdy and stable, and it has a much more expensive look than I expected. Assembly was surprisingly easy. The instructions were clear and straightforward, and with two people we had the queen-size frame together in about 25 minutes. All the hardware was included in the correct quantities, with a few extras, and everything fit together properly. I especially like the mattress support system. The wooden slats have a slight upward curve, giving them some spring and flexibility instead of being completely flat. There is also a strong center support running lengthwise with two additional support legs underneath, providing excellent support while still leaving useful storage space underneath. One note: this is the queen-size frame, but we currently have a full-size mattress on it, so the mattress may look a little small in the photos. We are pretty happy with the platform bed. Very protected in the box. The instructions were only pics, which was easy to understand.
