The bed is beautiful and sturdy. It was a little bit of a pain to put together but got it done in about an hour. My one complaint is it’s pretty low to the ground so I can’t fit my under bed storage and I can’t fit under it to retrieve cats. I’m debating on risers. Because of how the bed is designed they could have drilled holes several inches higher on the headboard and made the legs longer. Just two inches higher would make like easier. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. This actually feels very sturdy and was easy to put together. My 12 yo daughter helped me carry it up the stairs and put it together. It was her first time touching a screw driver and a good breeze could knock her over. So it really wasn’t difficult at all. We got this for our guest bedroom for when the grandparents come visit now that we have the space. I’m pretty sure this is actually solid wood. I definitely recommend this. This is a great bed, easy to build, sturdy, and the color is lovely. Our youngest loves his new big boy bed. We love all the storage for a small room. We also appreciate the drawers being on casters so that it’s easy to move them out to vacuum under the bed. I have a few minor gripes: figuring out the placement of the slats was awkward (it has improved from an earlier version of a similar bed, where each slat had to be screwed in; this one is easier). It would help to have guide marks on the frame as to where the slats should go. When the bed is finished, screws on the headboard are visible above the pillow. I don’t know why they’re not facing the back of the headboard. Lastly, I wish there were a cover for the drawers so that the things stored inside don’t get easily dusty. Very easy to put to together. It is a very sturdy bedframe for the price. The “espresso” color is fairly accurate in person vs what you see online in the pictures. The only reason we give this bedframe 4 stars is because one of the posts came damaged as seen in the second picture. Additionally, instructions were pretty straightforward. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. The bed frame has been pretty sturdy since we put it together, and had no issues putting our premium king sized mattress on it.
