4/5 stars because my wife wasn't as interested in the the "upgrade" and didn't find the seat to be as comfortable as the original. I haven't found it to be uncomfortable, but it is quite different. Installation was pretty easy, took me a bit longer as I had a rigid pipe with a compression fitting rather than a threaded hose on both ends of the water supply. So I had to cut the supply pipe shorter and rustle up a new compression fitting to slide over it (luckily I had one from a previous project). I also had planned ahead and had a dedicated outlet put in as the house was being built. I'm pretty happy with how everything works, this is my first experience with this type of product. The default spray settings were dead on in my case and I was pleasantly surprised by not being shot with any cold water. Still working out the drying details, the blow dryer takes a while, toilet paper is the goto, but might try a cloth to save a tree.

I bough this toilet based on the reviews. I thought it’s so odd that people could be so passionate about but the quality of toilet. Now that I have this toilet perhaps I can see why. It really does have a great flush to it. I bought the light off-white colour to match the other materials in my bathroom and that colour can be quite difficult to find. This toilet is high I am 5’3 and I find that my feet hardly touch the ground when I sit on it. It’s noticeably higher than most toilets so keep that in mind if you are a short person. I’m sure my husband who is 6’1 finds it perfect. This toilet took a very long time to arrive I think I waited more than four months for it. It was on back order and I kept getting updates about when it was going to arrive and it kept being later and later. We weren’t in a rush for it and as I mentioned I couldn’t really easily find the colour I wanted anywhere in the local hardware stores so I didn’t cancel the order. Despite having to wait the Wayfair people are absolutely fantastic when it comes to customer service they responded to every single inquiry they were very empathetic they gave me options to cancel the order if I wanted. I could not be happier with Wayfair service.

Never thought I’d love a toilet. I do! We have a tiny bathroom, and this toilet saved us about four inches of much needed (seriously) space. What’s more, its modern look makes the bathroom look far better. Install wasn’t bad either. The only issue I had was the toilet came with the wrong hardware, so I needed to get new screws. Not an issue but it did throw me for a loop. The other thing was the instructions don’t tell you to adjust the flush mechanism. So when you buy this, the silver button you push to flush has two threaded parts that can extend to reach the main pump. I didn’t realize that at first and then adjusted the pressure on the pump (or whatever it’s called). I also bought another button thinking mine broke, which I guess isn’t uncommon, according to customer service. The buttons don’t feel very durable, so not surprising. But all this was mostly communication based, not a fault of the product. The toilet serves its purpose and fulfilled our need perfectly. The instructions could be clearer and the right parts, or more parts, should be included.

I absolutely love this toilet. It's a piece fo sculpture. Its has been a bit of a rough road, but so worth it in the end. The tank's lid was cosmetically imperfect, and more or less seconds after I wrote to Wayfair about it, another was on its way, with instructions to discard or donate the defective one. Remarkable customer service, I must say! The second one was also imperfect--!--and once again Wayfair was on it lickety split. Wayfair is a marvel, but quality control at the Chateau company leaves much to be desired. Anyway, finally a perfect lid arrived. Then there were small headaches about the functioning of the toilet: it's a bit unnerving to look into a toilet and see maybe a pint of liquid in the bottom of the bowl. I feared using it would be a bit like using a chamber pot. But somehow it's engineered to collect and move what it needs to. The flush seemed weak at first, so that I felt I had to lean on the button at length to get a full flush. But that turned out to be because the installer had positioned the tank top so it compressed the tube that delivers fresh water, which needs to be free floating. In the end, the flush (of either strength) is vigorous and complete with a quick poke at the button. Now there's only this: the toilet's lovely form is evident only when the lid is closed. Otherwise it looks much like any other toilet. I'll have to see whether this toilet behaves like the previous one, where mold formed inside the lid when it was kept closed in warm weather. I'd like to think this one is better ventilated and that won't happen, because it's more hygienic to flush with the lid down, preventing bacteria from spraying into the air. We'll see. I agree, by the way, with the reviewer who felt the seat was cheap-looking. I will likely replace it with a seat more in keeping with the toilet's elegant lines and material.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We regularly entertain and have been looking to upgrade our powder room. The Kohler brand is such a nice touch, with the low profile tank. It looks very sleek. I also like that the handle is silver and on the side of the tank instead of matching the color of the porcelain and on the front. Another small, but really nice detail is the low profile bolt caps. I always have trouble with cleaning around the base of toilets when the bolt caps are raised. Kohler has thoughtfully removed this issue with having near flat bolt caps and makes cleaning better and easier. The height of the seat is also perfect for adults and kids. It’s really comfortable and my three year can handle it just fine by herself. Speaking of kids, they would have to try really hard to slam the lid. The lid slowly lowers itself, and does not slam. The tank has a 360° flusher that allows the water to rush into the bowl and flush really well too, so we don’t have to worry about any plunging problems. Super nice toilet and well worth placing in our guest powder room to add a touch of class.

On the whole, this fixture fits what I was looking for in a one-piece toilet, a low water closet with a streamline-looking base. However, the back half of the base has the usual convoluted shape of most toilets, which is not evident from the angle at which the provided photograph was taken. Thus the 4-stars. It may be that overall base sleekness is difficult to avoid at this price for functional or installation purposes. It's operation so far is top notch. It uses minimal water but flushes effectively, and it's small size makes it ideal for a small bathroom. The inner mechanism of one of the two such toilets I ordered was damaged, but my installer was able to substitute a compatible mechanism from a local big box store.

I've used Kohler for years... Tried others and always return to Kohler. This particular model is a classic. There are similar designs out there, but Kohler did this one just right. I've put this same model in several homes we've owned and recommended it to my clients. It always impresses and looks so much better installed than any photo I've seen. It elevates the look of any restroom. Beyond that, you get Kohler's excellent engineering in design and function. It flushes with determination and refills quickly. Installation is easy -- like most any toilet install. Nothing to say too much there except if you've installed any other toilet, this will be utterly familiar to you. Purchase with confidence. I was concerned about shipping since these could crack and break easily. This particular model is heavy. but Wayfair did an excellent job packaging the factory boxes in boxes and everything arrived perfect. The price was great too.

The collection of the Memoirs Stately is very nice from Kohler. when this arrived the Ups and my son help to bring in this box. I could here movement no not of an animal or anything like that. But it was broken at the bottom of the bowl and there was so many pieces at the bottom of the box. The box look like it was it fight and lost. So I call wayfair and the representative was very nice said that another will be on its way. Which it did and wayfair don't play around the next shipping had so many encasements surrounding in the box that if it fell down the steps it would be just find. When taking it out of box the toilet is beautiful couldn't ask for anything else. When my bathroom get done I know this was the right item to purchase. I bought it in white because the wall for the shower will be white the wall will be green and everything else is white but not the floor. I can't wait to see the magic. I have purchased dozens of items on line, but none equaled this purchase of 2 Kohler toilets from Wayfair. The price of each toilet was approximately $110 less than those available from the competition, and exactly met my specifications (Chair height, almond and elongated). Delivery was made within 3 days and there was no charge for shipping. Fedex carefully placed the 4 box shipment by my front door. The toilets arrived in perfect condition, and although I had never installed a toilet, I was able to follow the included directions and I easily installed the toilets. I know most people use wax rings when making these installations. I opted to use a Fluidmaster rubber seal kit instead. I'm glad I did (not as messy and the toilet can be shifted during installation if it becomes necessary). The toilets are of the pressure assist type. It is the first time I have used this type but now much prefer them to the gravity type. One quick press on the lever activates the mechanism. There is a quick surge as the toilet empties and then quickly refills. Some people complain about additional noise. I did not find the very slight noise increase objectionable. I opted for the 1.6 gallon version. However, after having it, I am sure that the 1.0 gallon version would be fine. I think purchasers will be very satisfied with Wayfair and with this excellent Kohler toilet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have 4 toilets in our condo unit. 2 of them we had upgraded to this exact same toilet 2 years ago. We have loved every detail of them. So when we needed service on #3 toilet in our condo, we took the opportunity to upgrade this with another one the same. We had also bought the silent slow-closing lids for all 3 of them. Love that lid too. Makes it much easier to lower the seat for the ladies, as you don't need to bend over to let them down gently. Just pull them a few inches from the vertical position and the seat does the rest. Love how they flush so well and with only 1.28 gallons of water, and you can flush them twice without waiting... once to get rid of the smell quickly, and a second time as you finish wiping. We have never in 2 years had a plugged toilet with these new units. The 12-year old units would plug up about 1 time each year and need plunging. These new Kohler units have far improved engineering from the 12-year old Kohler units. We can't think of a single complaint about them nor make any suggestions for improvement. They are GREAT!! 2 years ago when I took this survey for my other 2 new units, I had read a customer complaint stating the water level was too high in the toilet and his private parts touched the water... (Unsanitary condition). I found that to be true with me too for a month. But when I went to Doctor B... in Pensacola, he did a tummy tuck for me from having bariatric surgery a few years ago. After that tummy tuck, my private parts hang 3" above the water level, (which is the normal height for most males). My compliment to Kohler engineers! The added height is so much easier for getting off the pot. Using the old standard-height toilets caused me to need assistance getting off the lower toilets following one of my surgeries. I am 6' 3" tall at 220#. I felt so helpless needing help to get off the pot for about 2 weeks following my surgery. It's well worth the upgrade! John & Mary

It was expensive, but a great choice to fit the style and age of my home. This week, (Dec 2020) we are stalling the fourth, in the final bathroom of our home. The think the fact, as a previous owner of this product, that would be buy the same one again, speaks volumes. This is a great toilet and is wonderful to use and to see. I would and did buy this one again!

I installed this toilet myself, found it very easy to handle placing it on the floor in the proper position over the main pipe. As we got older, my wife's bad legs from arthrits, and my leg from an earlier accident made it hard to get up from the toilet I am replacing. The old toilet that was in the house when I purchaced it 22 years ago was ver low. this one is 2 inches higher, very nice to sit on and get up from. The first time I flushed it was strange, I saw the water flow like a power flush. the water went down so fast it looked amazing. it also filled fast. this is the best looking, working toilet I have used. my nephew has a 2 flush toilet that workes similar. this one is very water conservative.

I had to come back and write this review. This toilet is simply the best! I was very apprehensive because some of the reviews on it were giving me a mix vibe. This toilet is NOT tiny like some reviews mention, it’s actually a perfect size and height. This toilet does NOT have an issue with clogging or not flushing properly. The reviews that mentioned that almost scared me to the point that I was waiting for the clog. This has the best flush I’ve ever encountered! The technology employed flushes perfectly clean every time! It’s always clean and fresh and requires very little maintenance. The clean modern look is what made me take the risk despite the apprehension I had at first. And I’m so happy I took the risk! The design is nothing short of perfect. It’s sleek, modern, easy to clean with no grooves, and just as beautiful as a toilet can possibly be. It honestly is worth taking my time to write this review to help others if you’re having second thoughts because some of the bad reviews. A huge plus is wayfair customer service who are always exceeding my expectations and definitely why I took the risk to buy in the first place. If you like this toilet, don’t let the negative reviews scare you, it’s awesome and my review was never requested even. Thanks wayfair!

Had a contractor professional install. Family really like the look and the smooth appearance and the comfort level for sitting. Wanted a toilet that was 1 piece and had the old school single flush both inside and outside of the tank. This had all desired key points. Notes, that is not mentioned, instructions states that toilet should be installed on concrete floor. If you're going to install a handheld or toilet seat bidet, you will need to purchase special adapter to reach as the area behind the toilet where water supply is, is very shallow. Might need to try to install/screw on bidet shutoff valve/adapter prior to installing toilet; not sure this will work as we had already installed toilet and did not want to remove and reinstall the toilet. Will try to update after bidet part for skirted toilet is received and installed later. Used the wax ring that came with toilet as it is best to use the parts that came with it for proper fit and mounting. Did not want to take the chance with installing with the vinyl toilet ring as this is not your standard old school toilet/install. Nice powerful flush, easy to clean both inside and out side; plenty of flush/water flow holes streams in bowl. Like the square shape flush handle, need to be gently as it is a little different from the pull down handles that we were use to on other toilets. So far so good and no complaints at this time, except the hand held bidet install situation. Which as I have been reading is a issue for the majority of one piece "skirted toilets that has not been mentioned upfront.

I just bought this toilet for my new home. So far I am loving the look of it. Very glad I made this purchase since the style goes really well with my overall decor. Pros: Powerful Flush: One flush is all it takes, and I’ve never had to double-flush. Quiet Operation: The flushing is relatively quiet. Great for late-night use when you don’t want to wake up the whole house. One-Piece Design: Not only does this make cleaning a lot easier, but it also looks more modern and seamless in the bathroom. Comfort Height: Perfect seat height for various members of my family. Cons: Price Point: It’s on the more expensive side compared to standard toilets, but the performance justifies the cost. Heavy: Installation can be a bit tricky since the original screw didn't fit with my siphon jet. I’d recommend having a second person to help if you're doing it yourself. Bottom Line: If you're looking for a reliable, efficient, and stylish toilet that’s built to last, this is worth every penny. It’s a great upgrade for your beautiful home.

I bought this unit because I needed both a 10" and a 12" rough in size, and I wanted both to be the same style. ' So far I have installed the 12" unit, and installation was fairly easy, The unit flushes easily, and the flush is nice and strong on both settings. My only issue is with the seat. It is a little flimsy and flexes a lot more than I prefer. It's also about 1/2" too small in all dimensions, so the rim of the toilet is both visible, as well as exposed to skin while sitting on the toilet. Additionally, since the top lid completely covers the seat, there's no way to lift the toilet lid without your fingers touching the toilet rim. There's no lift handle or anything. Which is kinda gross. There's apparenty a different toilet seat made of sturdier UF resin material, but with identical construction, with all the other flaws listed above.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DeerValley Ally toilet is a dual flush, standard height toilet that is compact and quiet. This toilet has a slightly smaller footprint than my old one so it can work in smaller spaces if needed. I like that it has a dual flush option to conserve water. The Ally toilet has a streamlined design with all hardware hidden inside the porcelain base. The toilet seat is a bit flimsy, but has a slam resistant, slow close feature. Flush strength is adequate even on the light setting. All internal vales are well made and appear to be high quality. This toilet came with all necessary installation components except the supply line. This was noted so it was not a surprise or inconvenience. The installation process was a bit difficult. The wax ring that it came with was not joined together all the way on the ends so it needed to be moved around in order to seal properly. The wax ring did have a nice design with a plastic ring inside, adding an additional layer of protection. The bolts for the toilet flange needed modification because they were too big. Due to the one piece design of the toilet, it is heavy and makes lifting and lining it up a bit more difficult. Due to the hidden bolts, a second person is needed to line up the holes and bolt the toilet to the floor. The water inlet valve assembly was loose and if I had not checked, it would have leaked, so I recommend checking this before installation. Once installed and over that hurdle, I am very happy with the look and performance of this toilet. The high quality materials ensure this toilet will last a long time.

Its exactly as described and seems to be very good quality, on the heavy side. I will update if things change. There were a few complaints about this looking like a kids toilet which I can sort of understand. The tank is smaller then is normally seen in the USA. This tank is designed for the new low flow water use requirements which are about 3 times less then the regular tanks were initially designed for. So they dont waste porcelain on a big useless tank. The small tank can make the whole toilet seem small if youre use to a big tank at the back of your toilet. I am 6 feet tall and when I sit on it I feel like its a normal toilet, the seat is about 17 inches high. The seat is a little narrower then my other toilet by about 12 an inch so again not a kids toilet but may seem smaller to some. It is a one piece toilet so easy to install, and less areas for leaks. The access to the bolts and water hook up are a great size for easy working. I also noted someone saying that it needed a special hose to connect to the water line. I found that not to be the case, this toilet comes with an adapter already screwed on for smaller hose types (probably a European fixture size) but unscrew that and it accepts US standard hose size. Hopefully this info helps you. This is exactly what I wanted, a compact toilet that functions the same as a regular size toilet just doesnt waste space.

We installed this toilet about 8 months ago. We really like the ease of cleaning and flushing seems to be good. Here are a few things to note. Flush valve is included, toilet seat is included, inlet hose is not included, wax ring is not included. This unit is heavy. If you want to take it up the stairs, make sure you get help and stretch before moving it. Also stretch again after moving it up the stairs so you don't pull a back muscle when installing it! Alignment onto the closet bolts is challenging, get a couple of 2x4 pieces for propping it up which will save struggle. Pro tip - many rental facilities have a special lift for one-piece toilet alignment onto the flanges. Ted's Rent-It Center has one in Hagerstown last time I was there. After installing it, note that this is a multi-flush system which means that the flush time varies depending on how long you hold down the flush handle. If your stuff doesn't go down, hold the flush handle longer! A key point to my decision to buy a second unit is the fact that parts are readily available for American Standard on their website.
