The plumbing for the inlet was made for a copper pipe. I guess that is the standard in china. If you have a pex then you have to find a way to connect a copper to the pex. Wax Ring Was Terrible The included wax ring was low quality — it crumbled and failed to form a proper seal. I had to replace it with a better aftermarket wax ring to stop slow leaks and reduce odors. This added time and cost to the install that shouldn’t be necessary. Buy a high-quality wax ring with a rubber gasket or flange before installation — it’s almost essential with this toilet. One major let-down was the toilet seat lid It’s made of thin plastic that doesn’t feel sturdy. It flexes too much and doesn’t give a sense of durability. Compared to higher-end soft-close seats, this feels like the weakest part of the whole toilet. Side Screw Covers Do Not Fit This was one of the most frustrating parts The side covers that are supposed to hide the mounting screws do not fit. They won’t snap on or screw on properly. As a result, the mounting screws are fully visible, which ruins the clean, finished look the toilet is supposed to have This feels like a design or manufacturing defect, not user error.. Kim. 4 stars because we had to hire a plumber to have it flush consistently but it works! The space toilet is good and the customer service was very helpful :) Would recommend professional installation. Edit: I also want to add that the toilet does make a lot of beeping sounds. It basically beeps before every action. There is no way to turn this off, mute or lower the volume. Since this is attached to the master bedroom it has woken me up at night. I've read this is a safety feature. I was given this suggestion from support: “However, if you find the beeping a bit loud at night, one simple solution is to put a felt circle over the buzzer. We’re in the start of a much needed full bath remodel and one of our wish list items is a smart toilet after experiencing one on vacation. We have not yet installed this one but wanted to get it unpacked and give it some “test sits” since the shape is somewhat different than your typical elongated toilet. The seat feels slightly different in width but the more noticeable difference being the length of the opening in th seat. From front to back it’s 2” shorter. In fact the overall depth is 2” shorter which will be nice in our small bathroom. We want to do some more dry runs comparing the fell of this shorter style before we commit to installing it. The look is very nice and the toilet is pretty heavy. The finishes are smooth and high end in appearance. The toilet arrived on time with no issues. It has a beautiful design. It does come with the wax ring, even though the information seems to indicate it doesn’t. We have been unable to complete installation as it is not compatible with the standard 12 in. Compression x 78. We are stuck at this point. I don’t know if we are doing something wrong because based on the reviews, installation should be easy. Update it is finally installed! And we absolutely love it. The seat is very comfortable. I’m a huge fan of smart toilets! This toilet has a Small footprint which was perfect for our small bathroom. It was tricky to install due to the small space but it turned out great. I love the heated seat and wash the has but haven’t used all the great features yet. Instructions didn’t specify you have to remove the top part by snapping it off - lift the seat and where the middle notches are you can start lifting it. That’s how you add the nuts.
