Pet Gates

With a super-tall 74-inch height, this gate effectively keeps cats and large dogs from jumping over, while the narrow 1.37-inch bar spacing keeps small pets from squeezing through. Designed for everyday ease, it features one-handed operation and swings open 90 degrees in either direction—and closes automatically when opened at an angle of less than 90 degrees. Installation is quick and simple, with dual mounting holes for extra stability, and it fits door frames up to 96.5 inches high. Wall protectors prevent damage to your walls, and the adjustable width (30.3–38.2 inches) ensures a snug, custom fit for your doorway. This versatile pet gate is perfect for doorways, stairways, and more—keeping your pets safely contained wherever you need them.

I do love the design of this gate. It’s so tall that my kitties can’t go over, around, through, or under. I even like the way it opens to let me go through, without having to negotiate a bottom rail to trip on. It locks securely and was easily assembled and carefully packed. It’s attractive and exceptionally useful. My only concerns: My doorway was not true. It apparently is a few millimeters wider near the top than bottom, so the center doesn’t meet the same way in the top as bottom. This is not the fault of the gate, so I did not deduct a star. My other concern is that there’s a lot of plastic parts. I wish all the components were made of metal. However, since I had no problem with the metal parts during the month I’ve used it, no deducted star there, either.. Janice. Durant, OK. Thu Jun 25 2026

A metal pet gate provides a secure and flexible solution for creating safe spaces throughout your home. Designed with a pressure-mounted frame, this adjustable cat gate fits openings from 21" to 34" wide and extends in height from 75" to 98". The narrow bar spacing helps keep curious cats safely contained, while the walk-through door allows convenient access for people. Its lightweight plastic accents and locking mechanism add everyday functionality. Plus, we love that this tall pet gate helps create a comfortable environment for pets and their families.

This is likely not what many people are using this skate for, but were doing it to help socialize our wonderful new dog with my two cats, one of them is not very dog savvy. When we tried to do this with a normal baby gate, she kept trying to launch herself over it so of course, he wanted to chase her. This was the most affordable option that I could find for something floor to ceiling that would allow them to become more familiar without the potential danger that an unexpected interaction could have caused. Ive been very happy with it. The socialization is going great, and there is no way that my cat can jump over this. Its also sturdier than I expected as the pup still likes to paw at it from time to time, with no issues so far. Its very easy to open and close. This is a great affordable option!. Katherine. Reminder: Please measure before purchasing to ensure proper fit. Important: Do not cut off the rolled strip before installation is complete! As a busy parent and pet owner, I was worried about my toddler crawling onto the stairs or my puppy darting through doorways. This pressure-mounted gate solved it all! Made of thick steel with 2-inch spacing, it securely blocks pets—tested to hold 180 lbs. The 180° two-way door opens automatically: under 90°, it swings shut; at 90°, it stays open. I can easily carry groceries and open it one-handed. The door width is adjustable, ranging from 29 to 109 inches, suitable for every different opening where you need a door sill. The double-lock keeps kids safe but lets adults open quickly. Best part? No drilling—I installed it without damaging walls.

Used this to keep my dogs out of the front seat of my motor home. Couldn’t find anything made for that, but this works fine! I love that it has a gate so I can get in the back easily.. Linda. West Haven, UT. Fri Oct 02 2026

I have a large doorway that Ive been wanting to block off, but its so wide Ive struggled to find a good solution. This gate is perfect! It is sturdy, no problems with wobbling or falling. The latch system is super easy to use, and it has a latch at the top and bottom, although we usually just use the top.. Niki. Cypress, TX. Sun Aug 02 2026

This one-piece pet gate features a height that extends from 47.2" to 87" (120 cm to 221 cm). Width Adjustment: Small: 27.5" – 31.5" / Large: 27.5" – 37". It effectively prevents cats and large dogs from jumping over while maintaining ventilation. The gate height is easily adjusted via a pull-out mechanism, making installation quicker and more convenient. It is securely fixed with four support points at the top and bottom, ensuring a sturdy and wobble-free setup. The double-lock latch design eliminates worries about clever cats opening the gate. It is suitable for multiple scenarios such as balconies, passages, staircases, and doorways.

This door is exactly what we needed to have a safe space for my cats when my big dogs are around. It comes with several parts that make it very adjustable for a variety of door frames. I will say that the material isn’t super thick so probably not good for any big rowdy dogs that will jump or lunge at it because it would probably bend or break relatively easily. But aside from that it was very easy to install and was exactly what we needed!. Shelby Cajas. Santa Paula, CA. Wed Sep 23 2026

This is great. I was looking for a permanent solution to keep the dog from the front door and a way to separate the dogs from my niece when she visits. This is perfect fix. It opens and closes easily with adult human hands, meaning the dogs or my niece can’t open it. It also has a lock, which will be great when my niece is a little older. It is permanently attached to the wall so I don’t have to fumble with a gate, and it isn’t in the way. I am quite happy with this mesh gate.. Anonymous. Sat Jul 11 2026

The 71" extra-high gate can prevent cats from jumping over the gate and also prevents children from climbing over it. The space between the fences is very narrow at 1.37 inches, which prevent puppies, kittens or children to squeeze through or get their heads stuck between the fences. And this safety gate is adjustable in width, making it possible to safely divide areas where pets or babies should not enter, such as kitchens, entrances, or staircases. It can be adjusted to fit the space, making it very convenient.

This gate worked extremely well for us when we needed a way to keep our 3 huge dogs (1 is 88 lbs) away from our contractors. Stayed firmly in place without being screwed into the wall and was very secure when you lower the little lever that locks it in place.. Rachel. New Braunfels, TX. Sat Aug 29 2026

Excellent quality gate! This gate is very sturdy, looks great, and was a surprisingly close match to our porch railing, so it blends in nicely instead of looking out of place. Easy to install. I bought it to block the cat from going into my son’s bathroom (she likes to do her business in his shower drain…. not that that has anything to do with the gate lol) She could easily scale the 4’ fence so I bought this gate. It’s sturdy. Has some weight to it … doesn’t feel cheap. I put it up a year ago and no troubles at all. It was a great purchase.. Kelli. US. Thu Sep 03 2026

I really love this gate. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is I wish it were a little taller. My cats figured out how to jump over it (straight from the ground), so I wish it were a little taller. We added a cardboard topper as a work around.. Jordyn. New Port Richey, FL. Sat Sep 19 2026

This is nice, once its up. Could be a bit sturdier but will do. I dont think my cats will get out at least, would not recommend for mid to large sized dogs however. Also, Im going to be painfully honest and say that assembly is only for those who enjoy tough puzzles, as the picture only directions leave a lot to be desired!. Lisa Lorelle. Fountain, CO. Please measure before purchasing to ensure proper fit. Do not cut off zip ties before installation! As a dog owner, I was constantly worried about my pet wandering into the kitchen, rushing up the stairs, or getting into rooms that weren’t safe. The extra height helps keep energetic dogs securely contained, while the narrow bar spacing prevents curious pets from slipping through. I especially appreciate the one-hand operation when I’m carrying groceries, laundry, or pet supplies, and the auto-close feature ensures the gate closes behind me before my dog has a chance to follow.
